Phrases tool not saving state

Hello,

I am running Ableton Live 12 on a PC (Windows 11, i9 processor, 128GB memory).

I have just started using the Kontakt composition tools (chords, patterns, phrases) and I am experiencing an odd behavior with the Phrases tool.

I have five steps set up. No matter what I do, after I save, exit and re-enter the first step is always empty.

I have made sure that all phrases are assigned and locked and the project is saved. It happens every time, no matter what I do (and I have tried many variations).

I have not found anyone else having this issue in my searches. The set is very simple. There is only one track in play.

I am probably missing something obvious, but I appreciate any guidance you have.

Thanks all for getting back to me.

Sorry for the delay in responding but I was off having a medical procedure.

So, I went back in to reproduce the issue and get screenshots for the post and, of course, everything works fine.

I have been a systems developer in my professional life and I learned that the last option is to blame the software. So, even though my test was bare-bones, I must have been doing something wrong in my implementation of the tool.

Thanks for taking time to consider the post.

For other people to be able to reproduce or comment then you should maybe give a step by step instruction eventually accompanied by screenshot(s).
