Reaper and Kontrol S MK3 Windows users, do you see the Kontrol MK3 DAW driver under Reaper preferences, midi devices? I can see it in Windows device manager under software devices, but not directly within Reaper as per the mK2, A series and M32, is there a reason for this?

Make sure that the Hardware Connection Service is running and that the Kontrol MK3 can see it. Note that the hardware connection service should be started automatically when you open Komplete Kontrol software for example.

You can verify that the Kontrol Mk3 is connected to the HCS by going to Settings > general > agent version on the device, it should say version 1.9.4 (or higher ?) . If it doesn't, try a different USB-C cable,and/or a USB-C hub instead of connecting directly.

Also check that the keyboard is set to Midi 1.0 : How to Switch a Kontrol S-Series MK3 Keyboard to MIDI 1.0

You can check on your keyboard, press SETTINGS MIDI, Hardware, navigate until MIDI Version selection, make sure it is set to MIDI 1.0. Reboot the keyboard if needed.

You also should see a prompt to do the following:

Thanks, yes have tried and checked all of the above previously, also investigated the possiibility that it might have been the old issue of the 10 limit midi devices being allocated in Windows, but looks like that issue has been rectified anyway now,

I had confirmation from another Reaper MK3 user that the Komplete MK3 DAW driver does not show up for them either under midi devices.

We only see the main MK3 driver, plus the two ext midi drivers for the din connections, despite seeing the Kontrol MK3 DAW within Windows device manager.

We are trying to address the lack of DAW integration with Reaper, using the existing Rea Kontrol solution, by giving an alias to the Kontrol MK3 DAW driver, but if we can't get it to show up under the midi devices in Reaper we are kind of stuck.

We know there is driven by moss, but it's not the route that most of us wish to go down at this stage.
