How can I get the Welcome screen off my new MK3 keyboard?

I have just received my keyboard. I entered the serial number into Native Access and plugged in my keyboard. However nothing other than a few things show up in my DAW when I click the Native Instruments tab. I have virtually nothing that I have installed showing up. Also, I have a welcome screen on the keyboard that shows the serial number and instructs me to go to Native Access and input the number. I've done that, but I can't get the welcome message/serial number off my keyboard screen

OK, I think I'm getting somewhere now. I can load a NI instrument, hear it, and record it. Thank you so much for all your time. I'll focus on learning this stuff. I'm one of those smart/stupid guys, so I'll either get it pretty quickly, or, well, I won't. LOL. Thank you

Be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

This problem is in two parts :

I have just received my keyboard. I entered the serial number into Native Access and plugged in my keyboard. However nothing other than a few things show up in my DAW when I click the Native Instruments tab. I have virtually nothing that I have installed showing up.

You fail to tell what it is that you expect to 'show in your DAW' , also then nothing will show in your DAW before downloaded using Native Access and nothing will show for download in Native Access before registered to your account. :

Registering the hardware will result in you getting emails(s) from NI with codes to get DAW Ableton Live Lite and a voucher redeem code to get Komplete Select 15 for zero.

You are supposed to go to the N.I. site and buy the Komplete 15 Select of your choice for zero using the voucher code.

When you have thus registered the Select to your account then if you have further software bundled with the keyboard then you can register the K15 bundle upgrade code to the account.

If you didn't get the emails then check email spam folder .

If still no luck finding the code for the K15 Select then contact N.I. Purchase Support

In case that you need guidance contacting support : Please read : how to get support !

Also, I have a welcome screen on the keyboard that shows the serial number and instructs me to go to Native Access and input the number. I've done that, but I can't get the welcome message/serial number off my keyboard screen

I have registered with Native access, paid my money, clicked install on the features and instruments I want to use. The only thing that shows up In Logic Pro is a couple of things like Bite and Guitar Rig. I paid for a MK3 keyboard and Komplete Standard. So, I'm in Native Access, Paid for everything, Installed everything and still no joy

    You didn't answer my question.

Have you installed NI Hardware Connection Service?

And you say, "contact Support." There is no support, effectively. If you can't handle the support for the product you sell. Get out of the businees. It's unethical and greedy

Where are the warm bodies to guide a person through their issues? No, just a ridiculous chat assistant. Are you joking? I think it's time for a refund. However, getting a refund seems to be a mystery as well. I was instructed to go to the Order History page where I would find a link to get a refund and return the product. No link. What a scam

I'm in Spain. If I have to, I'll drive to Berlin and return the keyboard in person at their offices. That won't be pleasant, will it?

I wrote that you should only contact support if you did not get the codes to redeem.

Let's stay focussed on the question, which you posted 1 hour ago.

You are setting up the keyboard, and want to progress past that screen.

I am trying to help you.

NI Hardware Connection Service? Never heard of it

This is necessary software for the keyboard to run.

Here are the first things you'd want to try, before anything else (including complaints):

    1. Ensure you have installed the latest version of NA2
    2. In NA2, after registering the keyboard, you will see NI Hardware Connection Service available.
    3. Install it
    4. Then, turn on the keyboard. Ensure it is connected via the main (not aux) USB-C port on the keyboard. This is labelled "Host".

That should work. If not, open Activity Monitor to ensure NI Hardware Connection Service is running.

Lastly, I see you are on an M1. It is possible the next message applies to you (but please follow the steps above first):

    USB-C Connectivity Issue:

    Problem:
Some computer chipsets made between 2020 and 2023 have a known USB-C error that can't be fixed. This can cause sporadic problems with USB-C peripherals like the Kontrol S MK3, including connection failures, freezing, or issues with firmware updates.

    Solution:
If you experience these issues, try using a USB-C hub between your Kontrol S MK3 and your computer. This can help avoid the problem and ensure a stable connection. This is critically important during firmware updates, as data loss could cause broken firmware. Make sure the hub supports both power and data transfer.

Installed the Hardware Connection Service as you instructed. Still none of the instruments show up in my DAW when I go to the Native Instruments tab in my DAW. However, the Welcome screen is gone.

What is your OS version ?

What is your DAW version and version number ?

What software have you already downloaded and installed using N.A. 2 that does not show in you DAW ?
