February 2025 – a community update from our Chief Product Officer

I’d like to take this opportunity to say that for many of us, Maschine is incredibly important — it’s not as complex as most DAW-class applications, yet it’s powerful enough to create professional, great-sounding music. I truly hope the idea of adding export to Ableton Live projects has been noted somewhere along the way.
Speaking of other applications, I have to say I really enjoyed the stem separation feature in Traktor — I’ve been using it a lot, and it’s been a game-changer for my workflow. The F2 MK2 controller would be a perfect complement to the new X1 and Z1, both of which have brought me a ton of joy over the past few months.
The continued development of Maschine+ is especially important to me, as I’m planning to present my music as a hybrid DJ: combining Traktor controllers, my own recordings on Maschine+, and an additional groovebox for live drum parts.
The recent changes in Kontakt 8 have been a huge step forward! If there’s any chance of introducing MIDI sequence drag-and-drop functionality, that would take things to the next level.
Big thanks to the Native Instruments team and the entire user community! 😉
