Some Komplete 15 items displaying only black screen

Hi
I wonder can anyone help me with this. I have upgraded to Komplete 15 from version 12. Some of my FX etc are now only showing a black display, where all knobs and buttons are not visible. For instance, Guitar Rig 5 continues to display correctly but Guitar Rig 7 does not. Have I missed something here? Have the graphics requirements changed in this new version?
I have a pretty powerful, custom made for audio computer, but it is still on Windows 10 and is about 11 or 12 years old. The computer is still working very well, providing glitch free use of most of NI software and Cubase Pro 14.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
John

Your Direct X level is only a small part of the story.
Like Monochrome mentions earlier - just run DXDiag (Start→run) and check this area on the Display tab:
If the Direct 3D DDI value is not 11 (Or higher) AND/OR you do not see Feature Level 11.1 (or higher) - that is the issue.
There is no getting around this via software - you will need to consider a new GPU.
And - yes in Native Access - if you see earlier version of GR or those FX - go ahead and give them a go.

I only have access to Feature Level 11_2
The conclusion is that I have paid for software that does not work on my system and unless I invest in an expensive updrade to my GPU
How did you conclude that ? You only need : Graphics hardware support for OpenGL 2.1 or higher, and Direct 3D Feature Level 11.1 or higher.
Generally then you ought to state the full specs of your computer (such as exact CPU model , exact GPU/display adapter model , exact OS version , amount of RAM ) rather than vague information. That would have made it a little easier to evaluate what is the problem.
Anyway , if your computer is "11 or 12 years old" then you should expect that performance wise it might soon start to lack. Not so long ago I upgraded my PC hardware to be able to use Windows 11 so don't get me wrong I know how you feel and understand the way you think. But that doesn't change how the whole tech industry, including computer hard- and software industry, works in a modern societies.
If your computer meet the specifications shown below here and you have a problems getting things to work then prior to giving up then please at least give N.I. support a chance to assist you by contacting the respective support department , e.g. : N.I. Native Access and Installation Support , N.I. Kontakt Support and N.I. Support Other products (Guitar Rig 7 Pro)

Are you perhaps running things on a non standard screen?
(standard being 1920x1080)

Make sure (via DxDiag) that your graphics card supports Direct 3D 11.1 (Feature Level 11_1) or higher.

Thank you Monochrome for your help. Sorry about the delaed response. I'll check out those articles.

This is very annoying. I paid for working software but wasn't given any indication that some of the items wouldn't work on am older GPU. I have a powerful computer, but it would cost me a lot of money to add the necessary hardware.
Very disappointing.

"but wasn't given any indication that some of the items wouldn't work on am older GPU"
Hmm - The "indication" was right there on the K15 purchase page:
Respectfully - you cannot expect a computer and/or GPU from 11 or 12 years ago - to simply just "work" here in 2025 without at least a few minutes of study.
Things do change - especially when making a very large jump - for example - 2 complete versions of Guitar Rig - when GR5 was released in 2011 and GR7 was released in 2023.
Just because you managed to avoid trouble with other software over 12+ years of use - does not mean all software will behave.

Well, I think that is unacceptable. I have paid for the software and supported NI for years. Very disappointing.
Perhaps if I could have access to earlier versions of some apps. For example, if I could use GuitarRig 6, and earlier versions of other items that would maybe do (eg, Replika, Raum.)

By the way, my computer does have Derect X 12 - so should the items mentioned not still work?

Hi
Yes, thanks for that info. I have now checked the data and I only have access to Feature Level 11_2 (even though I appear to have DirectX Version 12 installed). However, with respect, I don't believe that users should have to check for these complex technical details when purchasing such widely available consumer software. It is clear that some of the software will not work on my - very capable - machine, but there were no indications that users should check complex system settings before purchase.
No other software that I have has caused similar problems; all graphics appear as normal, even on recently updated high end software. So, it seems to me that NI designers made decisions to upgrade software without thinking about the consequences for consumers. Consumers should be warned to check when these changes atke place.
The conclusion is that I have paid for software that does not work on my system and unless I invest in an expensive updrade to my GPU or buy a new computer (currently selling for app £1600) I have simply thrown away my money. I feel some acknowledgement of this deficit would be appropriate.
I will try, as you suggest to download earlier versions of those parts of Komplete 15 that are not working on my computer and see if that will suffice. I do so on the understanding that I do not have to pay again for earlier versions of these applications.

Also, with respect - in today's massive complex software environments - especially in your case - after a decade+ has gone by - I do not believe that checking the system requirements is a hardship.
Every user should check system requirements for everything at all times. Regardless of what they are using or what they "think" is robust and supported. That is the reason for sys requirements to exist.
Regardless of whether your machine is "capable" is of little consequence. All that matters is whether it is "supported" (or not).
To close - the system requirements were clear and were on full display for you to consider before you clicked the Buy button on Komplete 15. That you did not want to acknowledge them is unfortunately - on you. Not sure how much clearer this could be.
If you are really put off by this (and it appears you are) - gentle suggestion to consult with NI Sales support and see if you can get a refund.
