latest abbey road 50s/60s updates don't open with an user interface

Member Posts: 41 Member

Hello,

I installed the most recent updates of Abbey Road 50s Drummer and Abbey Road 60s Drummer.

When I open them in Kontakt 7 now, only a minimalistic user interface is shown like if you open a sample library which is not made for Kontakt.

All other Kontakt instruments are usable as usual. How can I fix this?

Is your version of Kontakt 7 up to date, and what's your hardware/OS? Mac/PC and OS version.

Update - I just ran up K7 here and it does display ok, this is on MacOS Sequoia. Clicking on the image under the spanner icon opens/closes the main interface as I'd expect.

Clicking on this icon did nothing in my case but I found out how to fix it.

For any reason, the file 'Abbey Road 50s Drummer.nicnt' was not replaced during the update. Instead, the new version was created as 'Abbey Road 50s Drummer.nicnt.1'

    Same with the 60's drummer.

So I had to remove the folder and to reinstall with Native Access.

Hi @GoaSkin I checked with our product team why a new .nicnt file was created in your case. They confirmed it's due to a permissions issue. If Native Access doesn’t have the necessary system access, it can't overwrite the existing file and instead creates a '_1' version. Please make sure to check Native Access system permissions before updating any products just in case.
