Problem registering Traktor Kontrol s2 board

I bought a Traktor Kontrol s2 board secondhand and am not in contact with the original owner. I'm not sure if it's been registered, but either way I don't have the serial number or the original owner's contact, so I can't figure out how to register it. I have tried contacting the service center and no one has answered my multiple requests. I am so confused what the work around is, without getting in contact with an agent who can register it without the serial number or something. please help me!!!!

    If you have a receipt from the seller and a photo of the serial number off the bottom of the unit it's possible that support can help. If you've put in a ticket then you'll need to wait until support catch up from the holidays and issues from over the sales period and they'll get back to you. You may have to buy the software, but they'll let you know.

    Which version of the S2 do you have? is it the MK1/2/3 ?

    I don't have a receipt or a photo of the serial number at the bottom of the unit, it just has a barcode with a number, but not the serial number. I've inserted a photo of the bottom label, it just says Traktor kontrol s2. I put in a ticket like a week ago, but no response yet.

    The serial number is the number next to the barcode, although I've removed that image as posting serial numbers here isn't advised. You have the original S2 MK1 which isn't supported on current software as far as I'm aware. You'll probably have to wait for support to get back to you although it might take a while as they're a bit backed up from the holidays. Are you on Mac or Windows?

    Depends on what your problem is - are you trying to get an S2 MK1 running, if so PC or Mac? Or do you need the Traktor software from a secondhand unit you've bought? Or both?

    I have a PC, but I'm not sure what an S21K is. Is that the name of the board I have? I was speaking to an agent through a support ticket, but they didn't really help my problem. They said to buy the Traktor Pro 2 software from a "private seller" like off Ebay or another place, but I can't really figure out which it is that I need to buy.

    The S2 MK1 is the original version of the S2. The current version is the MK3. If you take a look at this page it shows you how to identify which version of the S2 you have -

    Once you know what model you have you can go back to support and see if they can help more.

    I see, I believe I have MK1. is any traktor pro 2 software compatable with this?

    TP2 worked with the S4 MK1. You could try downloading the TP4 demo to see if it works, and you can get the drivers for the MK1 from this page - https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/drivers-other-files

    Okay, i downloaded the driver from 2011 which worked, but the one from 2013 and 2015 didnt work. would the TP4 demo work for my TP2? where do I download that?
