Price from Komplete KSelect 12 to Standard 15
I'm SO frustrated. I just want to upgrade to K15 Standard. The purchasing area is showing me two conflicting prices. "As the owner of Kselect 12, you qualify for"... $199, but when I add to cart, it's $399.
In 2020 I bought the KK S88 MK2 (which came with Kselect 12). I have two serials: KSelect 12 for S-Series, and K12 Upgrade KSelect.
What is confusing, is when it's showing me "What I Get". It seems that I already HAVE most (if not all) of these instruments. For the ones I really want (Noire, symphony essentials, session violins, etc,) I have to buy Ultimate (which costs $599 during this 50% off sale). Not affordable.
I'm retired on a budget. What's the ACCURATE cost to get up to K15 Std? Thanks in advance!

Problem is that at the moment then N.I. doesn't show the upgrade price for the Komplete Select to Standard / Standard upgrade for Komplete Select (reference compare page) .
But that really doesn't matter since at the moment then N.I. has chosen to discount the full bundles with %50 while giving zero discounts for updates and upgrades , so the cheapest for you at the moment is the full Standard bundle which in Europe is 299,50 €
What you would want is the "KOMPLETE 15 STANDARD Upgrade for KSelect" which when discounted %50 ought to be 199,50 € in Europe at a sale. We in the forum at the moment expect such a sale to be maybe the summer sale 2025.
P.S. Make no mistake , the upgrade to Standard is worth the money , especially at %50 off at a sale and you get the full version of a number of great N.I. apps plus all the libraries and expansions that it comes with. The N.I. Komplete bundles always gives you a lot for your money compared to the added price of all the stuff that you get. With respect to Komplete Standard then just look at what is the price for a full versions of Kontakt 8 , Guitar Rig 7 Pro , Reaktor 6 and Massive X .

Poorfellow, thanks for the reply. I was hoping there would be a $199 solution to get into Komplete 15 Standard now, but if I understand you, probably not until summer.
At my age (68), that's a long way off. Yes I agree NI has great products, but I can only afford so much. I'd REALLY like the Ultimate collection, but that financially out of the question.

As for the sales time table then no one knows what N.I. will do but N.I. the %50 off full Komplete bundles that N.I. are doing at the moment as far as I know is a first this soon after the bundle were published , so if N.I. feels like it then they could be discounting the updates and the upgrades sooner also so check whenever there is an offer or a sale. As for waiting then I myself first bought a N.I. keyboard with Select then had to wait for a sale to get an upgrade from Select to Komplete Standard , then I had to wait even longer before buying the final upgrade that I thought that I could never afford, I upgraded to Collectors Edition. Why I did that were because I wanted to have more of the libraries that came with the Collectors Edition , and what made it possible were the saving of money paired with the %50 off offers, but also made possible by the N.I. pricing policy were the added cost of the upgrades are the same as if buying the top tier at once. So if you e.g. gets the Komplete Standard upgrade for Select at one sale then if you find the money later then you can just buy the upgrade from Standard to Ultimate at a later sale and the collected price ought to have been the same as if you bought the upgrade to Ultimate at once. Unless of course that N.I. decides to do a price raise at some point.

KOMPLETE 15 STANDARD Update DL $199.00
I'm not sure what happened in the past 24 hours, but NOW when I add the above to my cart, I see $199.
Will this bring me up to the full 15 Standard version? And will I then qualify to upgrade to Ultimate or Collectors in the future?
I DO see the description says "Update". Is that the same as upgrade?

In short , updates are from same product tier of previous version of product to same tier newer version of product. Upgrades are from a lower tier of the same or a previous version of the product to a higher tier of of the product.

Frankly this makes me rather confused because updates are for if you already have Komplete Standard in an older version (Quote: Update Prices : 199,00 € For Owners of Komplete 2-14) . Also then as far as I know then update prices and upgrade prices have not yet been discounted and I must confess that at this particular moment then I can not even remember what is/were original price for 'updating' Komplete 'Standard' to Komplete 15 Standard. I think that the %50 off price for upgrading from Komplete Select to Komplete Standard is also around €/$ 199.
Anyway ,the 'Update' can not be used unless that you already have "Komplete 2-14" (meaning Komplete Standard)(Might just have been called Komplete prior to the arrival of Select if there were a time with no Select).
From Komplete (Standard) of a previous version to Komplete 15 Standard is an update requiring owning a previous Komplete (Standard) to 'update'.
From Komplete Select to Komplete 15 Standard is an Upgrade requiring only owning Komplete Select.
Full bundle purchase does not require any previous ownership.

If you qualify to use the update version purchase to update your ownership of a previous version Komplete (Standard) then surely the purchase will update your Komplete (Standard) to Komplete 15 Standard. But if you are indeed already an "Owner of a Komplete version between 8-15" then you need not buy the update to qualify since you would then already qualify to buy and and use an upgrade.
Question is what you have now ? If you only have Komplete Select then you do not qualify to use Update from Komplete (Standard) to Komplete 15 Standard. What you then would want is the "KOMPLETE 15 STANDARD Upgrade for KSelect" .

So @PoorFellow, you see why I'm confused. I assume that I can now BUY what's in my cart. The question is, AGAIN, will I then own K15 STD?

I am a Moderator here. A Moderator here is not a N.I. employee so I have no say. I can call for the Customer Care employee and 'show' this to him if you want but he do not attend the forum at odd hours like I do , he will not be here until normal work hours Monday or later depending on his schedule. Also then the Customer Care employee can also only liaise and check on progress of stuff and maybe tell N.I. about a problem but he does not fix such a problem himself. He will most likely do what I have to do , which is to tell you that you ought to contact N.I. Purchase Support and share the screenshots with them and tell them in that based on that you would like to get Komplete 15 Standard at the price of $199 as it is offered you on the screenshots but that you are confused by it all and that you would just like to have confirmed that it is going to work so ask support advice how to proceed to get Komplete 15 Standard at the $199 price. If you do that then I am sure that N.I. support will stick with what decision they make and will assist you until it works.

Yes. Please DO contact the customer care person. I understand that it will not be until Monday. I will also continue to TRY to contact the Purchase Support team again, but that is also difficult to achieve.

@Jeremy_NI , Could you please assist LesismoreFL here or at least ease his N.I. journey ? 🙂 (LesismoreFL wants to take a $199 deal on Komplete 15 Standard he is offered, part of problem is that deal is offering this in a confusing way)
I will also continue to TRY to contact the Purchase Support team again, but that is also difficult to achieve.
N.I. Purchase Support , In case that you need guidance contacting support : How to contact NI Support and How to get in touch with our Customer Care (simply choose did not help when chat-bot did not help)
In case that the webpage doesn't work then since functionality or lack of same could be a browser issue then also try another browser with no extensions and all cookies accepted (my suggestions for alternative browsers would be e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi browser and Opera browser , depending on what you do not usually use)
At least I know that I am not going crazy, and that YOU can also see what I am seeing.

@LesismoreFL , P.S. Though I tried to clarify in the previous messages then , I am still not sure what you have and what you do not have.
Judging from the picture above that mentions Komplete 12 Upgrade KSelect then if you ever upgraded from Komplete Select to e.g. Komplete 12 (Standard) then you of course qualifies to Update to Komplete 15 Standard (and if the update is not discounted then it might be on a later sale). My problem is that since I do not have access to your N.I: account then I rely completely on what information that you feed me and you didn't respond in any of the above as you have ever upgraded to Komplete (Standard) in the past. Jeremy_NI has access to your account information so he can clear up the mess. I can only advice and tell you how things work I can check what is your actual situation..

@LesismoreFL , P.S. 2 : If you actually already got e.g. Komplete 12 (Standard) then since you want K15 Ultimate then I think that it doesn't pay to 'Update' from K12 to K15 Standard but it would be cheaper to 'Upgrade' directly from Komplete 12 (Standard) to Komplete 15 Ultimate on first sale where that Upgrade is %50 off. (At a %50 off sale then an Upgrade from 12 Standard to 15 Ultimate ought to be priced $299)

At this point, I'm very confused and becoming more frustrated by the minute. Based on your comment, I've copied directly from my account page exactly what products I have. As instructed, I removed the serial #'s, so you can see for yourself.
I must say, that REGARDLESS of what I have, what is being offered to me on NI's site should be honored. Honestly, I no longer have a clue as to what I have or what I'm entitled to. This such a mess!
You will remember as I asked before, will this $199 in my cart, bring me up to Komplete 15 Standard? My cart leads me believe that the answer is YES. If not, then I think NI needs to make their terminology much more clear for the customers.
All I'm asking for, is a simple YES or NO. This entire conversation has become entirely too convoluted.
I also did some digging and found the statement that describes qulifications for updating. I've attached THAT as well. See the second bullet item. However, I no longer understand how this applies to me either. I’ve been saying all along that I have KSelect. The second bulleted item suggests I should be able to get the discounted Standard 15.
Additionally, NI's use of the terms UPDATE & UPGRADE is contrary to industry standards regarding software. UPDATE typically means providing a correction or fix. UPGRADE typically means to promote to the next level up. I know this to be the case, as I am a retired software analyst.
This is very poor use of terminology on NI's part, in my opinion.
