Why is Hybrid keys not working with kontakt 6 player?

    I meant release it via Native Access. That's why we have that application, to keep all our NI apps updated. Latest K7 player there is 7.6.x, I don't know why they don't offer upgrade. I refreshed, but nothing. I'll check later, I don't need to resolve it right now, luckily.

    Maybe a stupid question but do you use native access 2?

    This is exactly what the issue is.

    A lot of Mac users out there are running super old versions of Mac OS but love to assume that all software (regardless of who makes it) out there should just run.

    Not a stupid question at all. I didn't see it, but yesterday I figured it out somehow randomly, looking at the NA page and seeing it looks totally different. So I installed it manually and now I can upgrade stuff again.

    What I don't understand is there is not either self-upgrade of NA or some unavoidable warning. I simply ended up in a dead-end street without noticing. If there was some email (one of too many NI sends) I must have missed it, but the SW should have informed me as well.

    So NA seemed to work, but when I didn't even see new SW for installation and no refresh helped, I went to hunt for the problem and found NA2. Luckily, the installation was seamless, worked like an upgrade, I was more afraid of problems - but there were none. That's good.

    Firstly - If you need that kind of deep intel - unfortunately - you need to swing by these parts once in a while. NI will never send anything like this by email.

    Secondly - NA 2 is not a update OR upgrade of NA1. They are both unique and neither knows about the other. and there is no facility for one to "upgrade" the other either.

    One thing to totally avoid is having them both on a machine at once.

    Native Access v3.8.x is where you should be now and for the future.

    Hi all,

    ..just to know if i've right understood.

    I start using Kontakt buying Komplete 13. In this package i found Hybrid Keys 1.0 and i created some patches using it.

    I used them till May 2024 for sure, because i had a live gig using it.

    Since a few days i cannot load Hybrid 1.0 using Kontakt 6, beacause it can't locate the Library, and i see no more Hybrid Keys between Library using Kontakt 6.

    If I open Kontakt 7 i find Hybrid key 1.0 and 2.0 and i can freely use both…

    So I have to create again the patches using Kontakt 7?! There's no way to activate Hybrid Keys 1.0 for Kontakt 6?!

    If it is true I think it is a crazy way to manage products…

    Tell me it's not the true … ;-((((((

    Hybrid keys 1.0 should still work with kontakt 6. Have you tried to open kontakt 6 stand alone. Also you should be able to open the preset you've made within kontakt 7.. You could copy them from the user folder for kontakt 6 to kontakt 7. Or use the file browser on kontakt 7 and navigate to the user folder of kontakt 6. I will try to check that, if that works on my computer as I described it.

    Hello, I have the same problem as virgo47 and I don't understand why I can't update kontakt to version 7.7 or higher

    You will probably need to contact support if your Kontakt update is not coming in correctly.
