I just bought Hybrid Keys and when I try and open it I get a message wich says that the version of kontakt is too old. I can't open it with kontakt 7 either.
Here are installers for older kontakt versions, they upgraded hybrid keys and others with the newer nks standard, so the newest version needs the latest kontakt.
Hello,
what exact versions you have installed, and what message comes on screen if you try to open it with kontakt 7? It needs 7.6 at least as far as I can see on the webpage.
I have the 7.7.2 version for Kontakt Player, and also the 6.8.0 version.
Ok with kontakt 7.7.2 it should definitely work. Have you started kontakt 7 stand alone first then as plugin?
I recently got Hybrid Keys too and wanted to use with with the free Kontakt Player 7 - in my NI Access it says I'm on Kontakt Player Version 7.6.1 and Hyrbid Keys won't load saying I need version 7.7 or higher...
How am I supposed to update my Kontakt Player if NI Access isn't giving me the option?
Are you on Mac or windows?
@Marc Serra Have you tried to load the library in Kontakt in standalone?
@danieljerrehian What's your operating system? Have you tried to reinstall Kontakt in Native Access?
Same problem here. Win10. Every available software updated to everything I have in my Native Access. Can't open Hybrid Keys because HK says it was saved with v. 7.7 and my up-to-date hybrid player 7.6.1 is too old. Just like OP put in the screenshot. This is pretty hard to believe from NI.
Solved it. HK is part of a plug-in package named Player Series, in wich there's also Analog Dreams and Ethereal Earth. It's avaliable for download at the Native Access app.
Have you updated native access too and then tried to update everything again on windows 10 it should update kontakt to 7.7.2 if I remember correctly.
Today NI made me really angry. I've not been using it for a few months or what (that's not a sin, I hope), and suddenly I can't use my Hybrid Keys, it says that I need Kontakt 7.7! I don't have Kontakt 7, I have Kontakt Player, but only 7.6.1... and Native Access claims I'm up to date.
Guys, this is ridiculous. Will it be a new normal to buy a product that stops working anytime later?
have you seen the "best answer" it contains a link to installers for older versions of you can't use the latest kontakt 7 version. But yeah it would be much easier if native access would handle it on its own, check kontakt version before upgrading/installing libraries.
P.S.

Thank you for the link/point, but this doesn't make the current situation any less stupid for common users who rely on Native Access (which you don't disagree with, I understand). I'm sorry for being so furious, but this is just an unacceptable way how to make software. Sometimes I just want to use things I PAID FOR, not becoming necessarily a member of a community (because I'm in other communities already).
I appreciate the help on the forums, but I'm not going to install it manually, I hope they will release K7 Player 7.7 eventually. And I hope they read the forums, because this is a totally unacceptable solution as of now.
K7 player is out, so it should install, maybe you use a mac and the os version is too old and not supported with the newest version of kontakt.
