Thanks for your offer. I think the user wishes are very different here.

    My wishlist:

    - colored waveform overview (the display like in the Supreme Mod)

    - Preview player on/off mode

    - Pad FX and Loop Roll Pad Mode

    - Turntable FX with Shift and Play (stop time adjustable)

I personally don't need anything more

The S4 Mk3 is the perfect controller for traktor. But mine has a faulty pitch and channel fader.

The only way to fix that is to exchange with a refurbished one . It will cost about 400 euros.

Thats insane. Never have had that with other brands. So after sales is very bad. Nevertheless i still love to use traktor.

    I love my S4 Mk3. Especially now that I'm exploring @Sûlherokhh's mod! :)

Before I pulled the trigger on the S4, I also played around with the DDJ1000, and although the majority of the controller felt pretty great, I found the jog wheels unacceptably s**t.....rattly and low quality. It was also a WAY larger unit. Which didn't sit well with me.

Coming from an A&H 2ch mixer (vinyl setup)...... I felt that the S4's knobs had a lot of play and felt cheap and toyish. On the flipside, the knob 'stems' being plastic keeps the weight down....but I'd much rather a solid feel like my A&H had.

My new X1 Mk3 has a totally new design language and the knobs/buttons on that thing feel AMAZING! Solid af.

An S4 MK4 that mimics the X1's build quality would make me jizz in my pants :)

I'm sure NI will make that a reality..... one day

Will we ever see a new flagship controller? a lot of people not happy with the software, clearly NI got weak team for software and can't keep up, I see a lot of brilliant individuals can do so amazing things with Traktor mods and other things, how NouStems not inside the Traktor? I dont see how you guys kinda failed to hire them, how as a company you guys can't compete with the individual person ??

why not you guys focus on making good range of hardware and make it available for midi mapping, VDJ, Djay pro etc.. drive the sales up, then invest in software later.

im happy with my x1 mk3 then i ordered s4mk3 and i canceled the order, because i see the frustration of the people, and i didnt wanna go through that.

I'm hoping a new flagship, s4mk4 or s8mk2 (make it available for other softwares), or maybe totally new range of controllers, or standalone.

please NI give me something my money is ready for you ,im sure there tons of people waiting

I'm looking to get a S4Mk3 once I've paid off some bills first. That said, when I was looking at the S3 recently, I couldn't help but feel it was a glorified S2 with extra C and D deck controls. I did wonder if a new version was to come out of the S3, maybe having two audio inputs instead of the S4s four would help to bridge the gap and make it stand out more (assignable between A-C and B-D would be nice). Otherwise, it's a fairly large jump in price between the S3 and the S4 compared to the gap between the S2 and S3.

The S4 has two things that I needed, and that was the FX sections up top and the phono inputs for a dvs setup.

I guess....I could have just run an audio interface for the DVS, but at the end of the day, I was looking to also simplify my setup.

There is no solution for the lack of the S3's FX seciton....I know you can do some mapping (D.A.V.E), or get a deicated secondary controller like th X1.....but then things just get more complex and cluttered. Z

    Go for the S4, I did :)

I am looking into the s4 mk3 as well, but what I don't like is that the microphone input at the back is jack and the front xlr.... why! Turn those 2 around. Same goes for the booth output, al my previous panels had these with xlr, same as the master. And there seems to be enough room (at least from the outside view). There come to this post to see if a new controller is on the horizon, or again have to look at other brands with traktor mapping

    1. Im missing playing true vinyl mixing it up with soundfiles, which was one of the main reasons why I bought Traktor from the very beginning. It's a shame. And Im still using my old Traktor for this.
    2. Make it easier to make your own stems. There are softwares that are way better than dj stuff for making better sounding stems.
    3. Analyzing and making your old untight songs tight and being able to save them after this edit.
    4. Better eq with 4 buttons
    5. Bigger screen please, even though I like the size of the Traktor s4.

What do you mean by 1? You can connect a record player to the s4.

    2. We now have stem separation in traktor and it sounds good. Takes a while and there are still some rough UI, but it sounds good and works.

    3. You can set dynamic beatgrid and sync to the master clock.

    4. Traktor supports 4 EQs. There are mappings out there which override the Trim knob to be the 4th EQ.
