Can I use Maschine instead of Boss rc 500 loop pedal?

I want to record and loop some acoustic instruments and layer them. I know Boss rc is a great device for that but I thought maybe Maschine can provide the same functionality and a lot more. Is it possible to do live sampling and looping of acoustic instruments through Maschine MK3?

    I ended up buying Maschine for exact same reasons. Im not sure if it was the most bestest thing for that.

    However Maschine rocks in so many other areas. It is not only a looper. It is the whole band and even more. And price is not bad considering what you get.

    You might want to have a look at Loopify Pro app. It is dirt cheap. You only need an audio interface.
