I update this thread every time an old bug that should have been fixed years ago makes life harder

earlier today: tried to append a few letters to an incomplete word in a tag in the browser, so i long-clicked the field so that the content became editable and selected, hit cursor right to jump to the end of the selection and started typing - except that in traktor, the nonstandard cursor behavior jumped to the second character of the selection instead of behind it (the OS standard treats the selection as one long text cursor, traktor thinks of it as a zero-width cursor at the end of a selection, which in the case of long-clicking a field is at the start of the content). so what happens is that when your field says "Examp" and you want to add "le", muscle memory turns it into "Elexamp"

just now: since traktor duplicates clicks when the window doesn't have focus, my neighbours just got treated to club level beats at night when i was trying to lower the main volume from -12 to -20 dB and it instead counted a double click and set it it 0 dB

between the flickering browser that kept canceling my rating and the broken click targets on the stars, it just took me 7 tries to set the correct rating on a track

today: preparing tracks, and stuff got skipped over because after deleting a track from the collection, "Next Track" in a playlist is not actually the next track any more, but the one after that. for some reason Traktor determines which track is the next not at the time the operation "go to next track" is performed, but at some earlier point (possibly when the current track was first loaded?)

Sometimes it also jumps to the top :( For example be in prep list, remove a songs from prep list, pres down arrow / next track.

Observed results: First track in playlist is selected

Expected result: The track after the removed song is selected (same total position)

There are more issues if you try to edit any data.

Click on the "Released" field and try to edit the year. First click turns off the field.Second click highlight the complete year. After that you need to click a third time to edit the year.

Next is the Path/File Name. It is not possible to check the complete path name.

Select button on the right side is a nice graphic gimmick. It has no function.

This happens to me only when using a controller with a display browser mode (D2/S5 and S4Mk3 with a screen browser mode mod).

Dragging a track onto a playlist in the browser tree moves the viewport of the browser tree to the very top. I thought that had been fixed?

I'm not totally sure about this, but i figured accidentally out that it will be fixed by moving the Settings.tsi out of the Documents folder and start with a fresh one or just renamed the old one and import it again.

By the way, this also helped me when I loaded a track from a playlist into a deck, then the playlist doesn't jump back up to the first entry every time.

Seeking in a track with the mouse will sometimes reset the playhead to the very start of the file. When it just happened a couple of times while I was preparing tracks, it was just an inconvenience, but imagine if that happened during a set!

Also, a few times the playhead jumped twice as far as would have been correct. I think this might be related to the out-of-focus-double-click bug somehow? but yeah, it's weird.

    out-of-focus-double-click bug

    Yes, that is still there.

Also, that thing where Traktor holds on to the mouse click after I've already released the mouse button happened again! I had a long back and forth with support about this one, including a video, but they could never reproduce it. It's annoying because I keep accidentally reordering playlists moving the mouse after giving out a rating, for example - Traktor thinks the button is still pressed and initiates a drag-and-drop operation

Do you folks also sometimes have Traktor get stuck at the end of a drag and drop operation? It happens from time to time (and in fact happened just now!) that I'm dragging a track somewhere (a playlist, a track deck), and when I release the mouse the track doesn't drop - until I move the mouse just a little, then the drop happens. I've also had this happen on a trackpad, so I know it's not the device that's at fault here...

Why does clicking the left side of a star set the rating to one less than intended?! While clicking, the correct star even lights up! Traktor KNOWS what I clicked!

Yes, absolutlely. Especially when one or two of the NI controllers with screen (and lots of I/O because of that) are connected. Maybe this is the reason NI couldn't reproduce it. They should connect an S8 or S5 and two D2's to test. I think the on-screen browser exacerbates this even more.
