hello again, tried both methods of mapping my controller for 8 knob functionality, no joy.
keyboard plays notes but won't map knobs, for more info when I turn them they say volume in the display screen on the Novation controller. I'm wondering if it's just mapped to Ableton as I'm using kontakt Kontrol as a plugin in Ableton, and this is causing the issue? still can't find a fix.

What keyboard do you have, you mention the screen on a novation controller? Is this a second controller that you see the info on when adjusting something on your NI keyboard (model)?
Just FYI, for the KK keyboard to map anything in a DAW you need to be in MIDI mode for the keyboard not host mode. Press the MIDI button.

I have the same problem in Cubase 13 (Windows). Default midi map will not allow "Midi Learn" function in Cubase. This renders all 8 available knobs useless, unless I am using the Komplete Kontrol Software...
Currently I am using a Nektar P1 DAW controller to for VST and DAW functions in Cubase outside of the Komplete Kontrol Software. Which is really ******, because my previous Keyboard (Arturia Keylab MK2) did everything for DAW integration after I created a Midi remote map.
The Kontrol S61 MK3 can handle Cubase transport functionality, but beyond that is it useless for DAW integration.
Hopefully they figure that out.... I just replace 1 midi Keyboard with 2 controllers to do the same work load.
Not very efficient Native instruments.

a novation launchkey25. No I'm wanting to use the novation as my main midi controller, before buying I had read a few places that this was possible

For extended functionality, you need to disable NI integration and use this custom Midi Remote map.
If you do, please read carefully and follow instructions to the letter!

Do we know if this script will function correctly using at Kontrol S-series MK3?
Looks like I have a new project to fiddle with with later tonight.

The script creator is also a member here. On his thread someone asked him for MK3 compatibility:
Short answer is that he doesn't own an MK3 so he can not test the script.
Neither I (i have a brand new -just 6 months old- MK2 and i will stay on it for a while), so it is up to you to test it!
My guess is that it will work, apart of some new features that exists exclusively on MK3 :-)

Yes, I have the slightest clue whether and at which extent it may function with the MK3. Interestingly, I got zero feedback so far, from users who transitioned from the MK2 to the MK3, and for whom I know they've been using my script. This either means that it works OK, or it doesn't work at all possibly :D

Pretty common TBH. 99% of users are happy to take but not bother to give even a simple thanks much of the time. It's just the world we live in and seems to degrade more and more with each generation. Wait until AI takes the place of people talking, that will end the civil society as we have known for good.

The civil society may already be in danger of ending. I worry about the dehumanization tactics being used IRL and online.
