It is interesting. I have my NAS pretty souped up. 10g card, extra processing and a ton of RAM. Its pretty functional. Ive noticed that by reindexing the NAS (takes about a week!) it seems to slowly be filtering through to Kontakt 7. I think this might be the source of my particular issue, and not Kontakt 7.

Having said that I ran (and still run) 6 without any issues whatsoever.

    Again, thanks for your help.

Same here - just updated to Komplete 14 Collector's Edition and nothing new has appeared in Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt 7 or Kontakt 6. Yes, they all have full disk access and yes, I've deleted .db3 files to no avail.

Why is this so hard? Please can anyone help? It's pretty disappointing - especially as this has happened before (i.e. a completely empty Kontakt 7....)

@abcd-abcd What is your operating system? Did you install the libraries with Native Access? Which version of Native Access? Do these products show as installed in Native Access? Did you install the new libraries on an external hard drive? What is the format of that drive?

    Thanks for your reply Jeremy

    Mac OS 11.7.4

Yes, installed with Native Access 3.4.0 and all libraries showing up (I believe so anyway - for example Prime Bass and Electric Mint are present).

The updates were installed libraries are all on a second internal drive formatted with APFS - except now I see that (some of?) the new libraries haven't been installed anywhere - but there are no error messages - so how am I supposed to know?? This is ridiculous! And when I click on Electric Mint in Native Access it asks me to "choose library location" (which is already noted in my Native Access prefs) and when I specify the same location that all my previous libraries are , it says "That path is invalid". I HAVE WASTED SO MUCH TIME ON THIS - I AM TRYING TO WRITE MUSIC!

It seems to be an installation issue. Do Native Access and the NTKDaemon also have full disk access?

This is where to find the NTKDaemon:

Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > NTK > NTKDaemon

.. and now after wasting more time and painstakingly looking through Native Access' tiny unreadable script (like in all the other N.I. apps) I find that some libraries have not been installed - and so I am now manually installing them.

Why didn't they install? And why doesn't Native Access tell me that "YOUR INSTALLATION HAS BEEN STOPPED - WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO CONTINUE?"

@abcd-abcd You seemed to have a lot of installation issues, the best would be to contact our specialists here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_install

Thanks Jeremy - I've contacted support (but yes, all the apps, daemons etc have full disk access).

Looks like this still isn't resolved as I'm having the exact issue. Recently, I purchased Spitfire Chamber Essentials. It shows in version 6. But I have 2 issues within Kontakt 7.

1- Version 7 doesn't display the traditional panel with the library on the left. (See image).

2- My Spitfire library is (sort of) missing within 7. However, the patches for the library do show on the right side if I select the Kontakt icon. Why is the the Kontakt icon showing within the rest of my libraries? It seems to have replaced the Spitfire icon?

As per the recommendations here, I gave Kontakt 7 Full Disk Access and removed Komplete.db3 and rebooted with no success.

    • Oddly, Spitfire WAS showing as one point. But I did two things. I updated Kontakt as it asking within Native Access. I also uninstalled the free library (Vivace Legacy) that was very buggy.

    • Also, within Native Access, the Spitfire library doesn't show any MB despite being installed. Odd. (See image)

I don't use NI too much. But I've been scouring the Player and Native Access for a simple 'Re-Scan' feature as so many other companies have. Is there such a feature?

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance!

@Wilus The different views are different in Kontakt 7, and have been enhanced with version 7.7, please update and check this article: Kontakt 7.7 - User Interface Changes

Now for Spitfire, what library/product is it exactly? Spitfire have their own plug-in now for certain products, are we sure it's a Kontakt library?
