M32 manual wrong on accessing midi control and coming out of it

I spent some time yesterday with my new M32 keyboard puzzled by Midi control access. The manual says you toggle in and out of it by pressing SHIFT and PLUG IN. However, I could get into midi mode like this but not out of it. There are lots of posts on internet from people stuck in midi mode. I stumbled across the solution. To come out of midi mode I press SHIFT and TRACK.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

    Can you return to a native mode by pressing just the PLUG IN/MIDI button (without the SHIFT button)?
