Machine 3 on M+

I'm looking forward to the Komplete Chastity Cage, myself. Can't wait for an NI rep to barge into my bedroom studio and show me what my synthesizers like.

lol, I’m not being rude, I’m just saying that your workflow is streamlined if you keep your live stuff to M2 on desktop and m+, for now, since the M3 update only can be used in desktop ANYWAY, even if you had M3 on the M+, whatever functions have been added are not available on M+, except maybe for the glorified stem separation, in the future.
So, having this issue is only created by yourself, hence hindering you in achieving your own goals. You are the only one stopping yourself from streamlined workflow and live performance. No one or nothing else. Sorry for trying to make you see this. You’re your own problem and obstacle.

Frankly… he even said he is very interested even only in bounce to audio for M+ (which, in facts, would be a good addition, since the limitations of M+ hardware).
Believe me: everything that has been said is well known by anyone here. We know we can use M+ in controller mode. We know we can still use Maschine 2. We know we can use Maschine 3 for certain things and Maschine 2 for others. But… maybe (and I say maybe) someone is a little disturbed by things happening when you use Maschine 3 because you want to use a certain feature but then you can’t open that project anywhere else. Or he is interested in one of the few new feature for his M+ (again: bounce to audio could be useful to avoid the issues we have on our quite expensive but limited device). Or simply, knowing NI, he is worried that, since Maschine 3 has been released, Maschine 2 (and any eventual issue that could arise) will receive answers in the order of “Are you really asking us something about Maschine 2??? It is an old program, EOL, abandoned!!! No support for it!”. And therefore he is hoping to have the new version available on his devices
Why someone asking for infos about how it is proceeding should be such a big case? And he must be accused to be the problem?
Between: yes, some of us did buy a standalone device spending a lot more money to use it… well… standalone… (strange people, are we?). And maybe also using it standalone for producing, not only to play projects previously prepared on a computer. Surely not to use it in the same way the half priced MK3 can be used.
Strange, strange people…

lol, you’re taking things way out of proportion, anyone can ask anything and ping people and wish for stuff, I’m just clarifying that all he wishes to do is can still be done without any hassle, no need for M3 to fulfill his dreams, and bounce in place or bounce to track is easy in M2 also, which all of us know, so… just saying that if streamlined workflow is important and he wants to perform live there is nothing actually stopping anyone from doing that, the M+ has never been this reliable!

Personally, I don't think you were necessarily rude, at least not purposefully… I replied jokingly to not risk sounding rude myself. No matter how you spin it lack of parity is not a good thing.
Now it's V3 vs V2, but for the longggesssst time it was V2.x vs V2.y. I dont like this recent forum trend of blaming things that are issues for the OP but not for others on the users rather than on who actually makes the product.
Tons of people complain about minor things that are non-issues to me but my first thought is not to dispute whatever they are complaining about and minimize their point of view, I sort of just refrain myself from commenting as it will just annoy someone who is already annoyed further.
Nothing wrong with wanting to use the latest features only present on the latest version even tho it's not necessarily an entitlement because we buy things for what they do at the time of purchase.

That’s the thing, I don’t wanna hang out joking about things so I’m not perceived as rude. I should be able to tell someone that, ”I see what you mean, but you could also…” without risking being called rude because someone gets offended because someone has the nerve to disagree? When people take their liberty to write and express wishes, complaints and stuff, they should also be open to people actually pointing them to a solution. But instead of seeing the solution some people choose to be blind to the solution just to be able to keep complaining. Black Mirror stuff right here.
To have an issue with versions being different atm is one thing, but to blame the version disparity as the sole reason why one won’t perform live and trust m+ for live sets and its such a huge issue that the planet stops in its orbit, now that is just lame and frankly quite obnoxious. I’m offended by that I guess ;)

Two-edged sword tight there, they have to be open to you having an opinion about what they said, just as you have to be open to that person's opinion on what you said, it all goes in a loop. I dont think anyone said anything really bad here, or a mod would have stepped in. I see that you have good intentions.
IMHO who are we say what makes someone else's performance viable or not? That's up to them. If I agree with the sentiment or not doesn't matter, it's not my workflow… I have my personal complaints that really make me close Maschine and go use something else, I very often do so and these things dont bother others at all… it's a me thing; I dont even mention some of these things anymore as someone will come along and dismiss my gripes because they don't share the sentiment.
People also tend to exaggerate when complaining, asking for things or just to get their point across… just like you said "the planet stops in its orbit"; obviously it's just a hyperbole used for the very same purpose, if we take complaints fully literal we go into semantics and end up in a endless discussion loop 🤷♂️

yeah I get your point. Guess I’m part of that loop.

Meanwhile, Tuesday or Thursday are the only viable options for the rollout, which aligns with good practices — avoiding any compromise to users and units over the weekend when there’s no support. OK, maybe I’m being naive, but maybe it’ll happen.
