I am trying to install Komplete 6 on my after a reformat

I bought Komplete 6 years ago and enjoyed it. My PC needed a reformat so I had to reinstall everything. I decided finally to install Komplete 6 again but Service Center couldn't connect to the Internet to activate Komplete 6. So I downloaded Native Access. In Native Access, Komplete 6 doesn't show up and I can't add its serial number.
I am still waiting for Support to get in touch with me.

Ah, very good. I stand corrected. What I probably meant is, I would be fine with no free updates or fixes beyond allowing it to run on a computer. 😁
I can't see Guitar Rig or Battery 3 in Native Access.
I uninstalled all of the Komplete 6 apps - which I had to do, app by app, and now Cubase runs! I guess I will start the process of saving up for Komplete 15. I just hope Cubase Studio 5 (64bit) supports it, otherwise I will have to upgrade that TOO.
Thanks

Komplete 6 was retired (unsupported) years ago along with the Service Center app.
Hopefully support can figure something out for you.

Thanks for the update. So does that mean the VSTs won't show up in Cubase Studio anymore? That's so bad. I am trying to reinstall everything again now. I bought Komplete 6, I didn't rent it. I should still be able to use it until I can afford to upgrade. This is so bad.

Understood. But Komplete 6 is from Fall 2009. Why would you think something that old would still be supported here in 2025?
Things do move forward - and in your case - a lot.

Your problem has to be divided into two sections , one concerning compatibility with your OS and other software and one concerning N.I. policies.
I have no idea if Komplete 6 products is compatible with modern OS and programs , but consider that all of the newest generation of products in Komplete 15 now all is 64bit and as far as VST goes then VST3 only.
Also then you can use your Komplete 6 as base for buying an update to Komplete 15 (cheapest way is at next sale where updates are discounted) , only please notice that your PC should meet the specifications given to be able to use it.
N.I. wise then check this support article : Service Center and Legacy Products End of Life
Generally then you are supposed to use the latest version of Native Access for your OS unless that your OS is a legacy one. : Native Access Legacy Installers for Older Operating Systems , Legacy Installers for Native Instruments Software Products .
Also then even the newest Native Access will not show products not compatible with your OS and you also might to have to turn on show legacy products in N.A. settings for legacy products to show.
Then should you manage to get the Komplete 6 products installed then you will most likely still have to contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support to make them help do an offline activation. (In case you perform an offline activation then it is highly suggested that you do an image based drive backup of the system drive after activation so that you can recover from mishaps)
In case that you need guidance contacting support : Please read : how to get support !
In the mean time then even the free Komplete Start might contain stuff that you do not have so you could get that (again, please notice system requirements) and the following is free , e.g. : N.I. Komplete Start .
SonusCore have seven free items for Kontakt , but six of them require full version of Kontakt.
Fracture Sounds : Blueprint Collection , 16 free Kontakt instruments that works with the free the Kontakt Player. To get the 'Blueprint series instruments then you are required to subscribe to a newsletter to get the link to be able to buy the instruments at zero cost (no CC required) Every individual instrument in the collection require it's own key to redeem in Native Access and is a download of it's own.

Always the same old story…
SUPPORT (or not supporting) is one thing.
Actively BLOCKING users from installing what they bought is another.
1 -
Yep - sure is.
Just another user popping by forgetting what year it is, what version of Komplete is supported, what authorization tools are supported and why not - what OS is supported - and then leaning hard on a product from 2009 - assuming it's ALL supported.
And then when reality sets in - they get mad.
The OP has two options:
- Get current. You will be fully supported and good to go on Win 11. Unfortunately, I do not believe Komplete 6 is an upgrade step to Komplete 15 - so that will most likely be a non-starter.
- Recreate the 2009 experience - using 2009 hardware, a 2009 era OS and then see if there is any way that NI Support can somehow authorize this ancient build using 2009 era licensing tools.
But yes - you certainly nailed it - it is exactly the same old story.

? , unless I somehow misunderstood the meaning of VP then : ref. : Komplete 15 Standard compare page :

Wow. I stand corrected.
I was thinking of this:
Komplete 8 IS the entry point for K15 ULT.
Even better for the OP!

Could have swore Komplete 8 was the entry point.
It is of course (Komplete 8 was entry point) but only for updates / upgrades for/to Ultimate . My guess is that there were no Ultimate before Komplete 8 ? And no Collectors before Komplete 12 ?
P.S.
Sorry , I somehow overlooked some of your text in your latest response (were heavily multitasking at the time)

Ok. Since you wrote this:
“what authorization tools are supported and why not”.
Now tell us: why not?
Specially since in the EULA of when this product was bought, NI stated CLEARLY that in case they should not able to provide activation, they MUST give a way for users.
And…in facts…it’s not even that they are NOT able…they DON’T WANT

"Especially since in the EULA of when this product was bought, NI stated CLEARLY that in case they were not able to provide activation, they MUST give a way for users"
Enough with the sad "EULA" myths - that phrase is tired, legally unenforceable and essentially useless.
The only remedy is for the OP to connect with NI Support and see what they decide is best (or not) in this case.
It's their software, their policy and their choice to support this request. (Or not)

Since you say that what I say is “enough”…I will too:
Enough with this “if the power holders decide to do what they want, you have to bow”
1 -
No one has to bow. Or do anything. Except maybe try to stay current once in a while.
But if one does not like the product. Or the company. Or the policies - one can always just go support someone else.
Pretty simple.

- Install Native Access (that is sort of replacement for Service Center….)
- Register your licence for Komplete 6 in Native Access
- Set Native Access to show also legacy software
- You should be able to install most of K6
Certain libraries (several piano libraries and one drums library) may be downloaded from NI pages, they are not downloadable by NA (but NA will authorise them) as they are possibly considered "obsolete" - they were replaced by "better" ones later on….
I guess that should work. Also, you should have installadion discs, so you may install it from your discs and authorise it after that using Native Access.
I have installed some old stuff from K7U or maybe even K6U on Win10. So, it should most probably work for you on W11.
