So new to Traktor and can't figure out what happened. Everything up and working fine basically for weeks. I close my laptop at night but I'm thinking I never actually shut down Traktor.

So shut it down yesterday and at start up today all of my tracks were gone, playlists and even the downloaded NI Remix samples weren't there.

I went into Settings and clicked load music on start up and restarted. Well it starts to bring the songs in but was going to take over 10 hours. So I stopped it and trying to figure out what went wrong and how to prevent this in future.

Luckily I didn't have that many tracks loaded but would have been a nightmare if I really had a big collection.

Any thoughts or guidance appreciated.

One other weird thing…the brand new F1 controller wasn't working and had to unplug and plug back in to restart. Not sure why.

This is what it looks like on my end:

The keyboad only works, if you have the Traktor window in focus and the mapping with the assignment set to IN-PORT: keyboard.

When activated, the GUI becomes unresponsive. Sometimes it shows an extra window, sometimes it doesn't.

You need to shut Traktor down when you're done so it updates and backs up the collection file that contains all your music. You might find there are backups of the collection.nml file in the Backup folder in your Traktor folder, but if you've not been shutting Traktor down it may not have created them.

Not sure what the problem with the F1 might be, but some hardware is sensitive to computers going to sleep so that might have something to do with it if you sleep the MacBook rather than shutdown/restart.

It is likely related to putting your mac to sleap. Try using this command^ to save all settings manually.

    Thanks. will try those suggestions.
Your screenshot looks different than mine. I don't see a Save Traktor Settings. I'm on Pro 4.

You have to press the button 'Add in …'

'Save settings' is a mapping assignment you can add to any mapping in the dropdown. If you add it to the keyboard mapping, you can assign one of your keyboard keys to this command. I use CTRL+S.

Thanks for reply and instruction. This programs got so many layers. Learning slowly.

So does this look right? When I Ctrl+S I don't see any indication that its saving the settings so I'm assuming it just does with no indication.

    Thanks!!

    Great!! Thanks!!

I found the Save Collection under the Browser > Tree > Save Collection.

Also mapped Save Remix Decks and Save Traktor Settings with keyboard commands.

    Thanks again for help
