My keyboad shortcut to save the collection is Ctrl+S (custom map).

Save your collection when you have the time, particularly when prepping new tracks or curating playlists. No software is 100% stupid-proof.

    And a backup of the collection.nml to another computer can also be useful.

    I got a copy of all my Traktor folders (including past installations, the folders with stripes and settings etc) on an external regularly updated hard disk. Didn't need it so far, but it feels really good.

    I installed a syncing software to update my drive every day i use Traktor. I think that's 3 buttons pressed to update/add/remove each changed/new/old file across all my Traktor directories. The comparison only takes a minute. That would be a nice add-on to the core Traktor software, a button to comfortably sync the setup on two different drives or systems. I will stop dreaming now. ^^
