Analog Dreams keeps disappearing??!

Hello can someone please explain why Analog Dreams instrument keeps disappearing from Kontakt and how to fix?
I am running Kontakt version 6.8. If I reinstall it shows up for a while but then will disappear.
This problem goes along with my other previous problem with Cloud Supply that keeps asking for missing samples; this never got fixed.
I fear that more instruments will begin to have problems.

First: this is obviously not normal behavior, when you install a Kontakt instrument then it should simply remain in place as-is.
A few things come to mind… are you using any virus scanners that could be blocking programs from storing their preferences? What happens if you try to change some settings in the Kontakt preferences, do those retain?
And that leads up to my second guess… is your hardware still ok?
If a harddrive is giving out then that could also result in issues with programs trying to store data.

Another user reported a similar case with some Expansions on M+ disappearing and having to be reinstalled every week

thanks, but Analog dreams is a kontakt library not available on M+ in standalone mode.

I know, but what’s happening is similar. And could have something to do with NI system for recognizing owned products (even if, once installed, it should not be the case. But it should not be the case also for what is happening in the other thread you saw)

Is it possible that native access has automatic updates turned on? That shouldnt make them dissapear but it might update it to a version not compatible with your kontakt 6.8 version.
I run kontakt 7.4 on OSX 10.15 and when I install kontakt libraries through Native Access 2 my kontakt version cannot load them.@Jeremy_NI posted Some links to older versions of several kontakt libraries a while back when the update to kontakt 7.5 made them incompatible with older Versions.
This was because the available download on Native Access 2 automattically downloads the most recent version of the library.

That could be a good guess.
Edit: But…rethinking about it…if that was the reason, it’s not explicable why reinstalling it shows up for a while

We all agree that this is not normal behaviour for installed products.

In case that you want to try the previous versions of libraries in question, you probably have to remove present version first then install old version : Previous versions of recently updated Kontakt libraries / compatibility with K6 older libraries

To all:
No its highly unlikely the hard drive is going out..i just purchased this computer about 2 years ago and there are no other issues with any other programs.
Even programs in kontakt besides analog dreams , cloud supply and the other programs that lost compatibility with upgrade (ethereal, electric sunburst etc reverted to demo recently but are ok now after another reinstall) are not having problems.
And I asked Native Inst about turning off any auto update for Native Access, they said it couldnt be done unless i misunderstood??!
Sigh, im kinda afraid to use the NI programs for future songs as I dont know if problem will get worse.
I feel like something is corrupted but following all steps suggested by NI and others such as deleting certain registry keys, ntkdaemon, reinstalling native access and kontakt and the programs have not fixed the issues completely.

If the problem persists then please keep working with N.I. Native Access and Installation Support to solve the problem and respond promptly to their emails and clear up any misunderstandings should any appear. N.I. support are those best equipped to assist you and also the ones that can look into any eventual problems with N.A. and other things.
With respect to N.A. self auto-update then N.I. thinks that turning off Native Access self auto-update among other poses a security risk.

Have you updated these libraries in Native Access? Have you downgraded the libraries then following these steps? Previous versions of recently updated Kontakt libraries / compatibility with K6 older libraries
If you update the libraries they will be incompatible with Kontakt 6.8, so either do not update Kontakt libraries in Native Access or use Kontakt 8 Player (it's free and you can use it with all NI libraries)
There is no auto-update in Native Access, to install an update you need to click on INSTALL. If you do not wish to update these libraries, simply do not install these updates.
