Is it possible to display Master Macros and Scene Launch Pads at the same time?

Unfortunately, I have not yet found a way to display the Master Macros and the Scene Launch Pads on Maschine at the same time. Is this somehow possible? For live jamming with the machine this should actually work, right?

Maybe I’m missing something, but Master Macros and Ideas View/Song View can be seen together, like every other aspects

I’m still on Maschine 2, but I don’t think anything changed with 3.

Or do you mean on the hw displays?

Ok…I see now that the thread is tagged Maschine Plus/Maschine MK3, so you’re most probably talking about hardwares.

In this case, the direct answer is no.

    But…

If you unpin the Scene screens, making the Scene button a toggling one, keeping it pressed will make you use pads to select scenes, but as soon as you unpress the screens will go back to the Macros. I doubt that you’ll be finger drumming the Scene pads (meaning you only need them here and there). So having access to them at the push of a toggling button could be acceptable. Or not?

Another solution: remember that Scene launching is Midi learnable with another controller, so using an external mid controller will give you access at both simultaneously. Even a very cheap one, like a Korg Nano Pad, that you can find used for like…10 bucks? Or anything else will work… even a phone with some midi controller app

Hey, thanks for the answer. I mean of course on the machine hardware. If I want to make a live set with Maschine, it would be good if I could display macro controls and scene pads at the same time. At the moment I haven't found a way and have to constantly jump back and forth between macros and scenes. If you are in scene mode and you press the macro button, the pads switch back to the activated group. It's the same the other way around, as soon as you press the Scene button the master macro controls disappear.

Yes, at the moment I'm doing this with a program change command from an external midi controller, but I would like to minimize my setup a bit. :-)

It would be great if there was a live jam mode with macros and scenes on the machine. From a programming point of view, that shouldn't be too much effort. Maybe something similar will come in a future software version. 😊

Thank you again for the reply.

If you want to use only Maschine, at the moment I would use the Scene button toggle method.

In 1 sec and with one button push you can jump to Scene switching and back to Macros.

Of course if you need to use Macros in the exact moment you switch a scene, a second controller (commanding Scenes or Macros…or both) is necessary

Or… now that I rethink about it…have a look also at Lock States (which also have a ramp function)…

A very powerful (and underrated) Maschine feature

To answer the question "Is this somehow possible?": No.

The typical workaround is to control Macros and/or Scene/Section switching externally with a small extra MIDI controller or a Maschine JAM (altho i dont feel comfortable recommending buying something that has been discontinued for so long)
