Why can't I see Latin Beats Leap in Maschine Mk3?
Hey all, it's been a few days since I got my Maschine MK3 and installed everything that came with it. I bought the Latin Beats Leap for Kontakt 8 and saw in a video from NI that it could be loaded into a sound and then played from there. However, I'm not entirely sure how to do that. I've loaded Kontakt 8 into sound 1. I've opened and loaded the kit I liked and nothing happens even when putting it as keyboard mode. I'm positive I'm doing something wrong but there's very little information out there and I'm so new that I can't seem to find the logic to loading the plug-in. By the way, this the video I'm referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESbOxx5TtIk

In the screen above where you've got the instance of Kontakt 8 loaded into Sound 1, can you click on the little diagonal arrow to display what the Kontakt plugin looks like, and post a picture?

It shouldn't need mapping. You should be able to see on Kontakt which notes trigger which same in the Leap expansion, so change the octave to match. To be able to trigger all 16 samples using the Maschine keyboard you have to set the scale to C Major - that way the keyboard will only play the white notes.

Just a guess, but as the Leap keys are just a small section of the whole keyboard, perhaps check that your pads are triggering the correct notes (i.e. switch octaves if required).

That didn't work, unfortunately. It just doesn't show anything there. What I find curious is that I can see the loops but there is nothing in groups or sound.

There won't be anything in Groups or Sounds because it's not a Maschine Expansion. Have you used Kontakt 8 in Standalone mode and checked if the Leap expansions play OK?

They do play ok in Kontakt 8. I guess what I want to know is how in this Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESbOxx5TtIk&ab_channel=NativeInstruments) Boris is able to play directly from the hardware by loading the plug-in but I can't seem to get it to load.

Basically, Latin Trap has to be loaded into Leap, which has to be loaded into Kontakt 8, which has to loaded into the sound slot in Maschine.

You my friend will always be in my heart <3! Thank you so much that was the solution. From there I was able to select Latin Trap and the Kit now I just need to learn how to map the keyboard to the keyboard in Kontakt 8. Thank you!!

If you're ever in Colombia please let me buy you a beer or lunch. By the way, these little things that a newbie like me are finding extremely helpful would be awesome content, do you by chance have a YT? If not, create one.

Have you read any of the manuals yet, or gone though the "getting started" guides?
That should be your first port of call, followed maybe by some tutorial videos, both from here and from the NI YouTube channel (and other YT channels such as Jef Gibbons).
