Reinstall of Instruments Issue
I was having a problem with Session Bassist loading from an external non-SSD drive, so I purchased an external SSD drive and reinstalled all instruments on it and reinstalled Kontakt 8 in the Native Instruments folder within the Applications folder on the internal drive. I'm on Mac OS Ventura.
I've attached a screenshot of Kontakt 8 within Logic Pro which shows that the instruments (Session Bassist, Percussionist, Cineharps, etc are not installed but I verified that they are all on the external drive.. Kontakt 8
in Logic loads fine.
I uninstalled everything manually first before reinstalling, then restarted the Mac.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!!

@Don79 So both Logic and Kontakt have full disk access? Please carry out these steps: Kontakt Crashes

use latest version of Native Access for your OS
Then try resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access
Then try reinitialize the KONTAKT Database
Always run Kontakt as standalone at least one time to update database before use in a DAW
Also , always when using Mac then Mac users must do when using N.I. software ? :
ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats
Also then please check that iCloud Private Relay has been turned off : Native Access Error Message: "Download failed" (macOS)
Also then do not use Clean My Mac.
And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network

I spoke too soon … 🙄
In standalone Loading Session bassist with Kontakt works fine but it does take about 12 seconds to load. others like session percussion load in 2 seconds.
In Logic Pro, I'm getting a nasty message (see attached)
Can anyone help?

If you get a message claiming possible corruption the natural 1st step is to reinstall.

So it's ok to install instruments on an external drive and the Kontakt 8 app on the internal Mac's drive.

Yes, that's how most people do it as internal storage is expensive on Mac.

It's prime bass nki that is complaining about corruption, so just the instruments.

same msg after reinstalling
turns out all instruments get the same msg in Logic
Standalone is no problem works fine
I'm thinking that there's a pointer (IT speak) that's off?

But it should work despite the message if you click OK, no?

Jeremy, Thanks for the links. I did the Kontakt Crashes steps and after the reboot, it loads in Logic. I have 2 questions remain:
Bassist takes 12 seconds to load as opposed to the other NI instruments which take about 3. Would you know why?
More importantly, how do I get session bassist to record onto the software track? I click record in Logic, play the bass with the onscreen keyboard, but nothing records.
