Most of the modern plugins do seem to scale correctly now. Mostly just seems to be iZotope plugins that are behind and won't scale.

I'm using Ozone Maximizer in Virtual DJ now, but I don't have to look at it very often, so just squint…

“if then you want to use them to prove a so called truth…as said it can be read as you want”

The only “truth” that matters is that whenever someone starts another tired thread about how the software world is so “slow to 4k” and “my software is so tiny” and on and on and then someone suggests using Standard HD - their software suddenly displays perfectly.

    Funny how that works.

You know what I also find funny?

Having to see my Studio One (capable of higher resolutions) like this:

    instead of like this:

because the “solution” is to set display at 1920x1080 because NI is not updating their software.

Or losing access to indispensable buttons like “APPLY” or “CANCEL” in menus cause they don’t fit the screen, being at the bottom of the screen:

Yes…my softwares suddenly displays PERFECTLY…(or have I to take in consideration only NI software?)

Please note the 7 tracks visible on the screen on the mixer vs the 15. And only Inserts visible instead of Inserts and Sends. And 5 tracks on the timeline instead of 9.

If you want, tell me we have to accept it, that they are right to do so,… anything you want…

But…saying that setting the screen at 1920x1080 is the PERFECT solution…

I agree: Funny how that works

Totally understand. But there is nothing we can do about it.

All I ever care about is ensuring everything I ever bring up on screen is usable.

If that means staying in Standard HD - no problem.

And thats the main reason why I can’t be bothered buying a 4K monitor. If I had to resize everything every 5 minutes - I would literally gouge my eyes out over the time wasted messing around on screen.

That’s what we are saying: we would not have to deal with these things or use small windowed VSTs if NI would take care of this.

And I don’t agree that “there is nothing we can do about it”.

If that was the mentality in human history, we would still be dying of a cold. Or be at the willing of oppressors

Well - when you "do" something about it - please let the rest of us know.

Ni is just one of hundreds of vendors who are dragging their feet on this.

For me - this is simply not a hill for me to die on.

No need for “when”, quite fast to do: look again at the things I was saying in this exact thread.

Showing where are the problems and showing the interest in the subject IS doing something ☺️

Until they don’t see how it is of interest by they users (again and again, since they need maaaaaany proofs), and that this could influence our decisions, they will continue to think they can ignore it

    I see that - expect I can't understand those dialogs :)

What are you clicking on/off in Studio One and what resolution are you running over there?

What do you mean by “clicking on/off”?

Resolutions are quite peculiar, being the device a Surface Pro: the one showing a lot of things is 2560x1600, the one reducing the tracks and the other things was 1920x1200…because I tried also 1920x1080, but on top of reducing everything was even putting black bands on top of the screen, not allowing to use the whole screen (even with windows screen and its desktop)

Apologies. I thought the Audio Options dialog was showing some specific S1 scalling settings or something. Now I see it is simply an example of the dialog getting clipped off - due to resolution.

And yes - forgot you were running a Surface. That is completely different ball game from my setup.

2560x1600 is a non-standard resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio that is typically only found on a computer monitor or laptop screen - and is the native resolution of the MacBook Pro 13″

Nice to see you can get more tracks in S1 - but that won't help for UIs that need 1920x1080.
