Midi folder missing in kontakt libraries

While opening my ableton session, I got the notice that al the samples from 'Session Guitarist: electric mint' were missing. I tried everything, but nothing worked. I noticed that Electric Mint wasn't showing up in my Kontakt Player anymore (as well as Picked Acoustic), while other libraries were. I compared both folders to other library folders, and saw that in other folders there was a midi folder, that were missing in Electric Mint and Picked Acoustic. I tried to reinstall both libraries, but that didn't work.
My questions to you:
- Should there be midi folders in Electric Mint and Picked Acoustic?
- Is the missing midi folder the cause of my issues in Ableton?
- How can I resolve this problem?

There are no MIDI folders in the libraries for Electric Mint or Picked Acoustic on my system here.

Have you changed anything on your system? Are your libraries on an external drive or internal, and if it's external could the volume name have changed? Have you tried opening Native Access and seeing if it's showing errors?

    Hey mykejb,
Thanks for your reply. My libraries are on my internal drive. When I got the notice in Ableton, I was looking for an answer and I saw that both Electric Mint and Picked Acoustic were in another folder (users:shared) than the other "session" libraries (apps:native instruments), so I moved them to the same folder and I adjusted the path in Native Acces. No error is shown in NA.
This is what I get now in Ableton:

Some additional info: I just tried to use Electric Mint in a new Ableton session, and that seems to work fine. I just can't get it to work in my old sessions…

Have you upgraded any NI software since you saved the old sessions? I just noticed the "DEMO" tag in the Electric Mint header in the screenshot. If you create a new session in Ableton do you see the same thing, and do you see the same running Kontakt standalone?

It's possible, I'm not sure. The song is 2 years old…
If I create a new session, I get the normal standard view of Electric Mint in Kontakt (in Ableton as well as Kontakt standalone). I only get the "demo" version when I hit the "Ignore for now" button below the missing content box in the old Ableton session.

If you remove the Kontakt plugin from the track in your project then re-add it does that solve the problem?

Yes, it does, but the only problem is that I have to recreate my sounds. I don't know what the settings were to get to the sound I designed. Maybe not the biggest issue, but rather time consuming.
Thank you for your time, Mykejb! Much appreciated 🙏

A long shot, but can you save the current settings as a preset in Kontakt? That might work even though the display is all messed up. At least then you could reload it into the replaced plugin and get your sound back

@michieljoos Are you tryiing to open projects that were made on an Intel Mac on a Silicon Mac? If this is the case, that's the source of your problems, you need to run your DAW in Rosetta mode: How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta
