Maschine MK3 - nothing is working

Hi My Name is Ian
My apology for not introducing myself. I have been producing Music and a professional musician since 1983. Recored and produced three bands in the last month. I am regarded in the local community and a very respected sound producer and mentor for some of the younger people coming through.
I was one of the first bands in the 80's to go electronic and then got frustrated with where it was all heading and still to some degree going down the gurler. With most music being over produced and quantised to 1/16 it get a bit the same feel.
Here is a screen shot of the preferences tab. There does not seem to be a midi tab third down on the left. I am sure there is an explanation for this. But as I said I'm a lot over the whole way NI performs
The problems I am having is the integration with Logic Pro X. The over load on the CPU. The erratic nature of both, Komplete control and Macshine.
The reason I want to reset it is because I did some work with some template as a midi controller and Macshine has been not behaving the same way. I deleated what I did but Macshine has not been stable ever since.
What I would like to do is use Maschine for beats and sounds and then mix in logic. There are many UTube opinons on how to do this and they vary dramatically. I have tried a few but the workflow seems complicated and gets in the way of my creative flow. Always trying to find fixes for things that don't work as described.
NI seems to have very little but a few basics on this but seems not interested in this way of doing things
Yes I have read the manual a few times.
KK really takes a lot of CPU .
I used to get up to 120 track from My 2012 Mac Book Pro
When I use Maschine and KK the CPU start to have problems around 25 tracks so I have to modify thigs so they can actual work
Mac Book Pro M1 Max Sequia 15.2 Logic 11.1.2
64GB Ram 2TB
If you can lead me to a solution to using KK and Maschine with Logic with a usable workflow then I'm all ears

To reset in maschine terms , I’d uninstall and reinstall the software
logic and maschine is kinda a pain , but depending on how you want to use it ,you can make things easier
Like you said there are you tube videos ,mostly showing routing audio to logics mixer or using midi mode to input notes into logic which then trigger maschine
Logic has since introduced a internal midi port for routing midi between tracks and software , this is helpful because that was one of the things missing from au plugins , you can now send midi to maschine from logic and vice versa, and input notes into logic without using midi mode ,
ATM it only works with one group , but if you just want to use maschine as a drum maschine it should be ok
I created this thread about it , I’m not a logic user but I sort of know my way around it , maybe it will help , let me know if you don’t get any of it , or if it doesn’t suit your workflow

Much better now… 😉

OK… first, about your screenshot: When you load Maschine or Komplete Kontrol inside a DAW, then you do not see audio & midi properties because those are managed by your DAW.
This is from my Cubase. I assume Logic has too…
So, only in stand alone mode you can see audio & midi options for Mascine and KK.
This is a standard! Not just for NI but for almost any developer. Try any audio plugin that has stand alone mode (for example, Korg, Arturia or GForce plugins). Audio & Midi properties appear only in stand alone mode.

Then, it will be helpful if we can see a screenshot of your integration, to see if they are optimal.
For example, for Komplete Kontrol integration you need to use the "DAW" driver, not the "normal" midi driver. The drivers with "DAW" in their name have only this purpose. To integrate with your DAW.
For the usual Midi tasks you always use the other driver.

About the CPU i can't really advice because there are no standards.
Komplete Kontrol can use a very low CPU when nothing is loaded, then you load a "light" plugin and it goes to 4% or you load a heavy plugin and goes to 40%… so it depends to what you are loading in it.0 -
I used to get up to 120 track from My 2012 Mac Book Pro
Well, you and me both, once upon a time… but, today's machines are demanding and hungry beasts!
So, your computer has to be powerful enough to handle them (i am not a Mac expert to have an opinion about yours but, in general, looks OK).
Just think of this, as an example: People asking and asking for more and more features and options, high DPI etc etc. then they complain for high CPU usage… But how else can it be? Magically?
I know, this is not what you want to hear, but in my case, my computer is not that powerful and i don't plan to get a new one before the end of the year. So, i accept my limitations, i am happy that i can work with 40 tracks instead of 120 and i find ways to make the best out of it.

I'm a little bit confused. I don't see any recent request from you about these issues in our system. Only one regarding Massive and another about the Maschine software licences. Again get in touch if you need support.
