How do I stop constant Kontakt 8 pestering in Kontakt 7?

Hmm - Player does not have the ability to turn off ads. Which is exactly what we needed to do in Full to make this go away….

Running as Administrator makes no difference as problem still occurs (and frankly if you have to run as an administrator its a sign of poor code design as security and access rights limitation are there for a reason). This is a bug or a deliberate 'feature'. Have tried to raise with NI but no response yet.

It is a bug. By design, it should only appear once per user. Otherwise, we'd be seeing at least hundreds of thousands of reports, likely more, rather than a few isolated reports.

@Saksi Running as admin can overcome certain permission issues that would explain this behaviour on your system. We were not able to reproduce the issue on our side. Can you confirm that when you click that x, the next time the message still shows up? Only asking because you didn't mention it and you need to close that box this way for the message not to show again.

Could you check modifying other things in Kontakt 7, like showing the outputs, then closing Kontakt and re-opening it again, did that setting stick?

If not, something is preventing Kontakt to write in the registry on your system.
