Maschine 3.0 desktop software update not available for M+ license owners (FIXED)
Dear @Matthew_NI
Starting a new question as it looks to be a new issue. I tried to buy Maschine 3.0 update license on NI web site (the $29 option). However, it says "Wrong License", so to say I don't own the necessary license. I own a Maschine+ and thus I have Maschine 2 license included already. But I can't update, it don't recognize my license.
Can you please help to sort this out?
P.S. I didn't buy the license so far, as I don't want to end up with paying and not being able to use it (on my laptop of course).

There was an issue with the Maschine 3 update, Maschine Plus owners didn't qualify. This has been fixed and you should now be able to register/download and install Maschine 3. Can you confirm it's working now?

I checked my license list. I have Maschine+ license which includes Maschine 2.0, but I don’t have a seperate Maschine 2.0 license (bought separately). Does this mean I am not eligible for Maschine 3.0 update for $29?

Maybe it’s free for M+ users, would make sense considering the investment on the hardware (some pride 1200-1400€).

I own M+ , so I purchased the $69.99 update bundle and now it's showing as a demo, and I can't get it to validate with the serial. So, I think I'm having the same issue.

Same issue, bought a Maschine Mikro Mk3 earlier this year which includes the Maschine 2 software, but it won't recognise the serial number when trying to register the new Maschine 3 application.

You should get the Maschine 3 update working with a Maschine Mikro MK3, it seems that your Maschine 2 Essential was not registered. I registered both for you, is it working now?

I find the situation for M+ standalone users a bit confusing. Will the standalone 3.0 update be free once it's finished? Or will M+ users also have to pay 30$ for the standalone update? Or only for the software update, if it is wanted/needed? (like a double-tracked solution..🤔)
A little more clarity from official side would be helpful, @Jeremy_NI .1 -
Firmware will be updated for free but if you want open Maschine+ project after update on computer you have to open up it in Maschine 3 software. There is no retro compatibility.

Please consider this Maschine 3 update for being only for the desktop software. The Maschine Plus software will be updated at a later time to ensure compatibility with the Maschine 3 desktop software and should be a free one.
We have a KB article covering the topic:

Maschine+ standalone compatibility with Maschine 3 software is "coming soon".

Hi @Jeremy_NI , thanks for the reply.
Those information from the linked article are clear to me.
I was asking about whether the (coming) 3.0 standalone update will be free or not for M+ users.
In case it's gonna be free, we'd have a situation where M+ users can use 3.0 for free on their device standalone, but would need to pay if they want to use it on their computer. Is that correct?!1 -
Yes, I undertsand this is not very clear. @Matthew_NI can you bring some clarity on the topic?
