Dead stems relations to originals

I had to reinstall Windows 11 last night. I copied Native Instruments documents folder from previous Windows install and all my songs, everything is working flawlessly so far as everything transferred. However, I did not copy folder where stem tracks where stored (too much storage space was needed). Now, when I try to analyze songs again it won't let me because it's been already analyzed once but I can't play them as they don't exist anymore. Consistency checkup of library didn't solve the problem. What can I do except click Delete Associated Stems for every single of 2000+ tracks?

Batch stem generation/deletion is not possible with the current version. You may unlink all files by editing the file 'collection.nml'. But you would need to figure out how to do this yourself and at your own risk. Unless you have done things like that in the past, i would not recommend you try blindly.

What exactly is your goal? What do you want Traktor to do?

I want it to figure out that stems tracks aren't there anymore and unlink them. The same thing it does when I delete regular song and try to play it from collection. Dead songs can be batch removed from collection via consistency check.

I was fearing that answer. Thank you very much anyway! I hope there will be some solution in the future along with GPU acceleration for stem generation.

Welcome to the boat. Cocktails at the pool. Bring your own music. 😉

Only solution is to disassociate them one by one. That’s my reasoning for not doing any large amount of stems tracks right now. I will be patiently waiting for real time stems. Because what happens when the stems technology gets upgraded you will have to redo all your stems every time there’s an update to the stems technology without real time stems.
