Komplete 6 mk1 won't connect to Mac
Hi,
after years of fine operation, my Komplete 6 Mk1 stopped connecting to my (same) mac (12.7.6). Usb light just keeps blinking, whatever I try, and the Device updater won't see it.
Just for a weird brief moment, after replugging the USB a the device for the zillionth time, I got it to stop blinking, and managed to see that its firmware was up to date (v4.5). But after a minute or so it went back to blinking again, the device updater again unable to see the device.
I tried replacing the old driver (kext, 1.0.8), as recommended in the NI article "My Native Instruments Hardware Device is Not Recognized" *. But Mac OS refused to reinstall it, as it developer was unidentified (probably a certificate issue, the latest driver is from 2011). No use.
So now I'm stuck - anyone an idea how to get it to connect again? Thanks!

If you can reproduce the issue on an another computer, it could definitely be a hardware issue, please get in touch with our hardware service: https://bit.ly/NI_support_Hardware

Do you mean this workload article?
Did you try to delete the MK1 files and do a complete reinstall? Maybe support can give you the info you need to do that.

Yes, that's what I tried, but my Mac refuses to install the latest driver (2011), complaining it's from an unidentified developer. There's currently only one NIUSBDeviceHelper, no other extension files. I guess, without being able to reinstall the driver package I'm stuck.

There are no drivers needed for NI soundcards since MacOs 10.9, the issue is not coming from the driver. Have you tried another usb slot, another UsB cable? Another computer?

I have tried: another cable, another usb, but no other computer, I'd have to find someone for that. Other USB devices have been working fine on this MacBook Pro (retina, mid 2015) running Monterey 12.7.6. I guess you want to make sure the soundcard's own USB isn't broken? As said, I'll have to try that with another Mac then.

Yes, it could be a hardware failure.

I've managed to try it with another computer, but to no avail. All the lights go on on the device, but the one for USB keeps blinking like it does connected to my own computer. Would that mean the USB port for some reason is not connecting well, soldering is faulty, or the firmware is not acting well (but unreachable for any update)?
