Until we know exactly where you are looking (or installing to) - the fact that you say it's not installed - is not absolute. If you are looking in the wrong place - of course you will not see anything.

First - do a complete drive search for these two files:

    Massive X (VST2 - 64 bit)

    And Massive X VST3:

Let us know if these exist - and if they do - where you found them

Be sure to search ALL drives top to bottom.

I know what I'm looking for and it doesn't exist yet, even though the native access says it's been installed. I looked in my installed apps and massive x isn't in the list of installed apps. NA tells me it's installed but windows says it's not and the files haven't been put in any folders yet.

Ok, so you're not willing to reveal to which folder exactly you try to install the plugin. That's the point where I will opt out of this thread, because, it doesn't make sense to continue.

    As will I.

No point to this with the continued lack of info.

I have used the default path to install

    C:/program files/native instruments/

    I also tried

    C:/native instruments/native instruments

This isn't my first time installing vsts I've been producing for 27 years

    Vital works massive works

All the other free vst plug-ins work

I have done a scan of my whole computer to find the file and it doesn't exist

If you have been producing for 27 years - you would know that plugins have their own dedicated folder space - and should never be installed into the default path you have listed.

In all cases Native Access controls where all plugins are installed and you can see yours under Prefs→File Management. Here are my NA locations:

I would never install any plugin under C:\Program Files\Native Instruments for starters.

That folder is dedicated to application files, executables and all the other stuff the NI instruments need to operate.

    For plugins:

Any VST2 (64bit) plugin installed by NA - goes into the LAST location above - by default.

Massive X does not have a 32 bit version so ignore the 32 bit location listed

    AND

NA installs all VST3 plugins - silently and without any possible user interference to:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

The Massive X VST3 plugin will appear in this location.

Would be good to see your exact File Location preferences - AND a screencap of Massive X saying it's installed so we can figure this out.
