"Relocate" to replace tracks with higher quality?
I've got quite a few files from back in the day that are lower quality mp3s. I'd like to replace them with higher quality mp3s, but I don't want to go through the process of starting from scratch with queue points, notes etc.
There is a "relocate" feature that lets you identify where the file is if it got moved. Is it possible to use that to relocate instead to a higher quality file? If I try I get a message saying the track isn't missing, so it cancels the relocate.
If I delete or rename the original track it looks like this process works…. at least for some files. However I am leery of taking that route because I still want those files as backups in case something goes wrong with this process.

It should work ok as all the data is stored in the .NML collection file. If you move the original files to another location rather than deleting them you can always move them back afterwards if things go wrong.
