How can I save a modified instrument to my user folder?
Hi there,
I want to save a modified instrument (i.e. an external VST where I have changed some parameters of a given preset with the encoder knobs) to my user library. the purpose would be to create a user-collection of my favourite instruments.
I understand I can do this from within the software by right-clicking the instrument name and choose 'save as'.
Is it possible to initiate the same procedure from the MK3 controller? It would be sufficient to save the instrument with the same (preset-)name in my user folder, so no renaming must be done.
I'd prefer to use the mouse and keyboard as rarely as possible.

in maschine you simply save the whole pad or group, then you find it under user sounds or groups, but you have to do it with the mouse. Simply by right clicking on a pad or group and select "save as".

Hello,
i don´t think that´s possible from the hardware, only with the m+ in stand alone mode.

I'm completely confused. 😵💫
Somehow, I managed earlier to save instruments (i.e. Pigments, MiniFreak) with the active Arturia preset in the NI user folder. When I reload them from the instruments tab, the saved preset is loaded to.
So far, so good!
Only problem: I have no idea, how I achieved this. I neither find the option to save the instrument (not sound!) on the controller nor in the software. ChatGPT only fantasized about nonexistent buttons.
Any help is welcome!
