Recently experienced the mixer panel on the screen of my Mac Book Pro going blank while mixing.

Music kept playing but lost all control.

Also in the same session music would glitch.

Shut down Traktor software and hardware and restarted and the problem didn't occur again.

Using Traktor S4 + Mac Book Pro 2015 Catalina 16mb - been reliable as for ages.

Clean machine using only 15% of hard drive.

Chrome was open and Apple Music but nothing else.

Have the latest Pro 3 update.

Have a big gig coming up and wish to know possibly fixes?

Is it worth a reinstall or would it be the laptop.

Ideas much appreciated.

from experience i never use my work laptop for the internet, just to update and work. i use my older laptop for that. there is software you can run your music files through to find corruption and fix them. if possible have the laptop tested for malware and corruption. i have some of the rarest mixes but they use to come from third world countries and I've experience some crazy glitches that's why i stop doing it this way. replay the files in the same order and see if you get it to happen again. check your history for the order. i only use macs but after so many years of the same laptop the video card is what starts to do stuttering on the wave file and that's a sign that things can happen at any time. once again i know this because of mac techs going over my laptop. check your updates on hardware and software. sometimes we update the software and it causes a problem with hardware. don't do it just before a gig. never have your updates open during playback! it can freeze up your laptop during pop ups of would you like to update. check it manually. hope it helps
