On that, we can all agree! Oh, and most dust comes from us humans exfoliating ourselves everywhere we go. But, and I can say this from experience, cats, dogs, and birds are often more dandery than humans!

And one other thing about coverings: I do like Deck Savers quite a lot. Just google that as one word. They're hard-shell and made specifically for each device. They're smooth, the "smoke" colored ones really look very professional in a studio setting, and can be sold with the device when it's time to finally post it for sale on Ebay or Reverb, lol! Deck Savers can be wiped off with a soft cloth or my favorite tool of choice in combating studio dust, the common paint brush that you can buy at any home center. Yes, you have to find a place to rest your deck saver when you're playing that device, but really it's not all THAT hard to do.

Also, Deck Savers are super convenient if you need to travel and you want to bring a device along. They stay on your device pretty firmly, and they can help keep buttons and knobs from getting bent. They can also help faders stay "fadery" even after the TSA is done throwing your luggage onto the tarmac before chucking it up into the hold of the plane!

For paint brushes, I like having a 1" to 2" brush (with a chisel shape), as well as one that's a bit wider, such as a 3" or even 4" brush. All of them are better than feather dusters, and they can easily get in between any knobs, buttons, or sliders on any studio hardware that you might have. And finally, when they're too filthy to keep using, you can wash them with soap and water, dry them off, and either keep using them or just put them in your tool box for the next time you need to paint a bathroom or the front door, lol!
