Does Traktor Pro 3 really need 1TB HD Space?

About to replace an old mac with the Tractor Pro 2 and looking for the new Mac Book.
Specifications of Traktor Pro 3 list an additional requirement 1TB of HD Space. I'm a hobby DJ and do not really need a lot of space to store the large music libraries etc. Is this a real limitation? Will Traktor work with 256? or 512 as well?
