"This product is so unfinished for the era it released in.

The market was too saturated for that. They should have just never released it at all and kept it cooking for another couple of years."

I don't necessarily disagree, but, keeping it cooking for another couple of years (!) means that the development will be significantly more expensive. I would estimate in the hundred thousands. No matter whether or not we have some romantic imagination of the people involved doing it enthusiastically for the love for building virtual instruments for use end users. Companies pump money into development, and they want to see a return, otherwise they're fish feed. Same with the developers involved. They need to get paid.

Waiting for the standard NI response that their data shows not enough people use it to make it worth while supporting it.

I always turn data collection off. I may be the only one, but I think it's stupid to make some of the decisions they've made off of that data….

I also have it turned off and suspect many of us do the same. Kind of makes you think if their data analytics are warped if thats the case.

Development wouldn't be any more expensive than it has been since the product was released. I'm not exactly seeing the issue.

The benefit is that when it actually releases, it would be far more finished and instead of being met with 1,000 negative reviews and an inability to sell itself, it may have been better recieved and as such people would have been able to justify investing in buying it on its own merits.

Unless, as I would expect, the developers work on a "hired gun" base.

Anyway, I hope that it will release some more updates, so that the (for me) essential things are complete.

I strongly believe they're warped. Or even an excuse to make their decisions easier
