Is there a sampler in Komplete where I can take a sample, and have it slice it to my s49?

It's the same sample on every key just a different pitch. How do I say C, start here end here, next key start here end here. Also how do I make it where when I press a new key it's stops the previous sample playing?

@PhillHarmonix You can change the key ranges for a sample in the Mapping editor that you get to by clicking the spanner icon. Drag the areas that the sample is mapped to which by default is the big yellow area. You can also drag-drop a new sample onto the correct key. To make Kontakt play one note at a time pretty sure you change the settings in the instrument options voice handling page to be one voice. That should kill the currently playing voice when you play a new one.

    Hi Mike , (cc @Milos )

This conversation became a lot of an eye opener for me. When you wrote that the Sampler in Komplete is called Kontakt then I thought , right ! yeah ! , we all knows that Kontakt plays sample libraries , but when I read that I had no idea that you could actually play user samples as easy as it turned out when I dug deeper later . So I feel quite embarrassed by the whole thing even though I found out myself later prior to reading your later post also ! Anyway , that has made me realize that I need to spend a lot more time actually using all the software that I have rather than trying to assist other troubleshooting the problems that they have with their software !

All this makes me feel so stupid, I feel like this should be easy to chop a sample up, and I still can't do it.

@PhillHarmonix Take a look at this tutorial, see if it makes things clearer - (44) Adding Your First Samples To Kontakt Via the Mapping Editor... KONTAKT: FIRST STEPS (Ch. 2 Ep. 1) - YouTube It's a more in depth and probably better explanation than mine!

A YouTube tutorial got me most of the way there but, how do I make it in Kontact where once a hit a new key, even if holding previous one it cuts the previous one off?

@PhillHarmonix Open the group editor, select a voice group (I used 'Voice group 1), set voices to 1 and the Mode to Oldest. That should choke all but the last note/sample played

Anyone familiar with Arcade. Or can someone help me get a bass sound that I can use the keys to play. In arcade I seem to only get loops of bass that repeat, I can't really play them????

Welcome to the world of production! When I was diving into music, I found the sampler in Komplete really handy. You can take a sample and easily slice it on your S49. It's a game-changer for adding unique sounds to your tracks. Enjoy the production journey—it's like exploring new beats in the vastness of desert safari dubai.
