Why the heck would you interpret my comment as elitist?

So only the elite want to buy a S-MK3 keyboard and explore NKS2?

Guitar players don't generally bat an eye and spending $800 on a guitar.

The S-MK3 is hardly an elite product.

'KK 3.0 is opening up new doors for those intrigued to walk through.' I'm sorry maybe it's just me, that just came across to me as a tad condescending.

Hmm.. "people.... too closed minded to see the possibilities"....

My comments were directed to @JesterMgee who stated.. "I see zero benefit..."

That sounds pretty closed minded to me... really.. ZERO benefit?

That is changes, not benefits. As mentioned, for ME I see no benefits especially compared with how many things are now missing, impeded or just more cumbersome to use. I would be more open minded if in the 10+ years KK had already been released, just ONE feature from users in that time had been added.... just 1. However, zero user requested improvements in that time and then a whole new redesign that seemingly ignores ALL user feedback from 10 years. I think the closed mind is not me but the developer... But glad you find it useful, some will, many wont.

Yeah and literally no one was asking for an option to divert aftertouch into modulating the arp and yet that was given priority over the many things users were asking for, for many years

Come on, fellas. We'll get nowhere if we're busy nipping at each other's ankles like little yappy dogs that mostly shiver and bite. Plus, the NI people come to this forum more than they ever did in the past. If they see us fighting each other over our word choices, now it becomes a forum moderation issue. We NEED this to be about getting a better KK, right?

Let's all try to keep our eyes on the ball and be a little bit less sensitive about words being used; even if they are strong words. Besides, we're all from different places, so one man's "elitist" word is another man's genuine interpretation of something. Let it be, let it be.

We're not here to fight each other. Well, I hope not!

Yes, Myself, Kymeia and several others who I would say are the top power users for KK and probably understand things in a seemingly similar way with similar levels of experience have all been rallying, asking nicely, waiting patiently for a decade for improvements (often the exact same simple things) and in that time I have had many discussions, submitted countless tickets, feedback, bug reports all in the hope it could help improve the software and you know what improved in all that time? Absolutely nothing at all (and that is 100% serious), not a single improvement we have hoped for and in some cases, even bugs that still were not addressed even after being confirmed.

It makes me pretty furious to be honest, sure I am just 1 guy or we are just a few users in a million but to have things go completely backwards does get to be upsetting for all the time some of us have been investing in this ecosystem trying to help as much as possible to improve things. I explained it like you are an Apple user who's been asking for a few simple changes and improvements for 10 years, you boot up your system and find that the decision was to make everything look like Windows, the controls and layout is all opposite to how you like it and the whole workflow is now different, the browser tree is now on the right and not the left, min/max window buttons are now in the bottom right, things are missing, nothing works as it use to. How happy would you be? That is why people like the OS they like because they become comfortable with it, they know it and it is intuitive after time, small changes over time are easily coped with but a whole "reimagining" and starting from scratch with a completely different layout and style if not done very well, is always going to upset users who are just expected to adapt. The only ones I believe that are happy are users that didn't really use KK all that much or never have before. Most experienced long term users are of the exact same mind at the moment.

So yep, I for one am hoping things will improve of course, I have a small morsel of faith that some back there that can make it happen but renewing my faith requires action, not promises or hope. I will be the first one to applaud a useful improvement, the MK3 with KK3 is likely a good match as the hardware looks great, but until then just call me "disgruntled user"

That's fair. If NI screws this up, I'll add my voice to yours. And so will dozens or hundreds of others. NI likely knows that they cannot fail on this and hope to retain their status in the world of VIs; especially since Komplete 15 is probably just around the corner (I'm guessing that's next, mostly due to some of the sales I've seen in the store). But let's try to be patient and give them a few sprints to get through before we sentence anybody to the gallows, okay? 😏

Oh, and thank you for all your efforts over the years.

All I know is that Komplete Kontrol 3.02 ain't launching on Windows 11 and that has nothing to do with misplaced dll files.

Thanks for the links to the earlier versions.

Yes it is, I'm running it here.

Maybe it's not running on your computer, but there's no issue with it running on Windows 11 in general.

More than half of my vst3 UI’s do not show in 3.0.x . I will be sticking with 2.9.6 for a while. KK 3 was nowhere near ready for production.

I have loads of VST3s and they are all showing and working so there may be some specific reasons for those that are not on your system- what are the specs and what plugins are not working?

(Just look at what I have uploaded to the NKS user library - they were all made in KK2 but I have tested most of them in KK3. The main things not working are things like edit functions which have yet to be added, but the plugins themselves load fine and where there are plugins with problems like, Fabfilter Twin 3 on Mac, or some Cherry Audio ones on Windows in Ableton Live, these were problems in KK2 as well)

With Kontakt working lights with Mk3, I don't see much reason to use KK. KK is still very slow and very buggy.
