kontakt demo no sound after doing any solution found online
i have installed the demo but there is no sound when pressing the midi piano keys,
there is a sound when i press on the virtual keyboard with my mouse,
and when pressing on the midi piano i can see the virtual keys being pressed but without sound.
things i tried:
change channel to omni,
set midi input to A as it was off by default,
set sound output as it was off by default,
reinstall the app,
restore the midi piano to factory settings,
i did everything i found online, with no change

What instrument were you playing?

the default instrument

There's no demo of Kontakt. It's either a 'Full' version or the free 'Player'.
By "default instrument" I assume you mean a "New Instrument" which will not contain any samples and appear as a 'DEMO'. I'm guessing what you hear is possibly a GM piano.
Just an educated guess, but I'm no expert. Although, apparently a Guru 😂

well, it literally says demo, so i called it demo, regardless hope its better understood now with the screenshot

Never seen that instrument, might be that there are no samples in it.😅

I understood perfectly and explained it as clear as I could.
A new instrument contains no samples. However, if you drag any wav file from your system into the rack, it will also create a 'New' instrument with the name of the file in the header, and will make sound.
What I explained is that you may have activated a GM midi output in Options->Midi->Outputs, which would give you a sound such as a default piano, but not an actual sound from the Kontakt instrument.
Perhaps you should install the 'Factory Library'.
Good luck!

it wasnt clear before, but it was clear now what you meant.
did as best as i understood from what you wrote, there is still no sound, tried all the channels
edit: there is still sound from pressing on the keys with the mouse, pressing on the midi piano, the keys are pressed on the virtual piano on the app, but there is no sound

i have found the issue, finally after days of trying to figure it out.
options> audio>driver, select shared mode, then pick the exact device being used.
the default ASIO doesnt work.
can a moderator change the title to "SOLVED" so future people with the same issue can find it please

Shared Mode is usually the result of trying to run more than one instance of Kontakt, or the driver is already in use. I see you went from K7 to K6 in screenshots.
Something's askew me thinks. Oh well, you have sound.
