GR7 crashes on startup. I see others reporting the same. Is a fix being prepared?

Just upgraded GR6 to GR7. GR6 runs fine. GR7 always crashes on startup in standalone or plugin mode, any DAW. Windows10.

Ive uninstalled/reinstalled GR7, but it does the same thing. No other NI software has any issues on my system. I see others reporting this also. Is this issue understood by NI? Is a patch forthcoming? It would be nice to... be able to use the product we just purchased.

I think Ill make a ticket also, as Im not sure if this forum is being monitored for support and I am interested in getting this fixed or refunded ASAP.

Which Guitar Rig 6 version are you using? Is it 6.4 and does it work?

Did you run the standalone version of Guitar Rig 7 before running it as a plugin?

@Milkman The other recent reports of crashes seem to be all on Mac. The issue is under investigation. Strange that it did not work the first time!

Im on 6.4, yes.

I just did what that article says, and I still have the same issue. (GR7 opens, closes. No errors)

I ran GR7 standalone before I ran it was a plugin, earlier today.

Just to be clear and explicit about this, did you delete this folder:

c:\Users\YourUserNameGoesHere\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Guitar Rig 7\

And then run Guitar Rig 7 in standalone?

Do you see the window of Guitar Rig opening at all? So it pops up and then vanishes or does it never come up at all?

The strangest thing... I did all of this yesterday, then tried to run GR7 and GR6 with the same results. Today, I did it again (deleted the GR7 folder again after it was recreated), and this time GR7 works.

I just tested it - its working. Thank you for the rapid replies - I wanted to make a ticket and a post because this was stopping us in our tracks.
