Mapping something (e.g. loop size/out) to jog wheel

Is there a Traktor version that you like, that also works with the Moonbeam mod and which works using the D2's and using the S4Mk3?
If the answer is yes, we got ourselves a working version. Use the Moonbeam mod and my modded files on it.
If the answer is no, then you are really asking me to repair the Moonbeam mod, correct?
In that case i would have to go hunting through the entire mod looking for any conflicting or missing code and getting my S4 out of storage to stress test the entire thing, which is going to be a lot of work.

It is also possible MIDI link modifiers to create timers, it is trial and error though and you may end up with more mapping devices in meny but it will work with every version of Traktor.

3.8 and 3.10 work fine with D2's; S4 mk3 and original moonbeam mod. (only 3.6.1 crash with S4 mk3).
It's just the mod you make with the moonbeam doesn't work with 3.8 (no midi cc send); and 3.10 which is ok for the deck A but not the deck B 🤷♂️ ; but work very fine with 3.6.1.
If it's possible, I would use only one version of Traktor for all : D2, S4mk3; Moonbeam, and your version modified of moonbeam for the beat tap. Hope I'm clear 😐️
I really don't understand why if it's ok with one version, it's not work with another...
Maybe implement your code in another file in Traktor, I don't know.
@Stevan Yes I'have it with modifier. But the @Sûlherokhh version is much better with loop for example.

@Psyka :
I will have a look at 3.8 with moonbeam + mod. Is it possible that you don't have the correct mapping file in controller manager for 3.8?

I test with 3.8 three times with your mod, so no it's impossible.

Works better with loop?

Yes, the only thing I do with modifier is :
- Counter 1 to 8 at each beat
- Send midi cc at 1
- Set modifier to 1 when seek position is at 0,00 (beginning of the track)
So when I do loop of 4 beats for exemple, in middle of music, the counter is not good because it's send just 1 of 8 beat but not necessary the first time of music. I've not this problem with @Sûlherokhh mod.

You can solve this with modifier too. Count beats and send corresponding value when loop encoder is turned.
That's not a timer I was referring to though maybe I don't fully get the idea of delays in ms's.

Hi :)
@Sûlherokhh Finally it' simpler than I think :
I test again with the last mod version you send to me with 3.10 and the midi cc is :
-> OK for deck A
-> Deck B doesn't send 1 of 8 but 1 of 9 : I lose a beat every 8 beats.
I already noticed a difference between deck A and deck B with modifiers, maybe an error of Traktor's programmers.

Deck A and Deck B use exactly the same piece of code in the qml file, so the results should be exactly the same. The only thing i can think of is that the TSI mapping file has a mistake somewhere. If either one of us made a mistake, that is.
Or it is, like you said, a Traktor thing. Have you tried with Deck B and Deck D?

Note that each Deck has different latency as well. Really noticeable on deck D though.

@Stevan :
Oh, i never noticed any latency difference with the decks before. If there is, it really shouldn't make 9 out of 8 beats, rather push the registered beat from beat 1 to any of the other 7 beats.
I'll will keep my eyes and ears peeled.

I really don't know what I do, but now, with tp 3.10 and your mood, all deck work very fine 🤷♂️
As you said it's maybe a tsi mapping thing, anyway...
Moreover, I modify some file in 3.6 and now my S4 mK3 work with this version.
I need to test all of this much longer before my next gig :)
Thanks you very much for Help.
