It’s send 1 of the 8 beats, it’s ok, but not necessary the first beat of the music.

That's what the second and third versions where trying to fix. I don't quite understand why they don't work. At every 1st of 8 beats the MIDI button gets toggled (either from OFF to ON or from ON to OFF), each time sending a CC message. ...

When deck is stopped then pressing play outputs two events.

1. Seek position = 0
2. Monifier Value = 0

I resolve the 2 midi cc send of your first version with controller manager and modifier :

tsi midi beat ok with modifier.tsi

But there's another problem, the midi send doesn't follow the bpm of the track, see my video :

Settings.tsi

All work with modifier :

M1 and M2 are beat counter for deck A

M4 and M5 are beat counter for deck B

M7 =1 if Deck A is in master, 0 else

MB =1 if Deck B is in master, 0 else

Beat tap in midi ch9cc60 at 8/8 only for the deck in master.

Buuuuuuut,

If that will work, I prefer the @Sûlherokhh version. (Because this will have less error with loop for example)

The tempo issue should be easy to fix. I think i plugged in the wrong value, which only reads out the basic unadjusted bpm of the track. I'm on it. :)

Edit:

This should do it. I tested the changed value on my machine and the beats adjust to tempo change. There are only the D2 and the S4MK3 files in the archive. The mappings you already have. I cut any reference to MIDIbuttons 2 to 8, so the code addition is really short.

To synchronise music lights and video, I need 450ms delay for the midi cc, but the render is very good I think.

Nice.

At least this mod lets you delay the MIDI beat signal as much as you like. MIDI mapping via the controller manager does not provide that feature.

I would try to upgrade Traktor with a latest version.

@Sûlherokhh , your version of beat tap with Moonbeam work perfectly with 3.6.1.

I've tried with 3.8.0 and nothing happen, no midi cc 🤐

I've also tried 3.10, Deck A work perfectly, but deck B no 😫

@Psyka : I installed the mod on 3.6.1 and modified it from there. Moonbeam needs an update by it's original designer before it safely works on 3.8+, i guess.

Which version do you aim to use? Personally, i am happy using 3.4.2, but all the new Plus features are not needed for my own workflow.

I think moonbeam will not update this mod (very sad 😭)

I would work with a version which don't crash with S4 MK3 : 3.6.1 crash. I don't tried with 3.8, but it's ok with 3.10, so ideally with 3.10.

I may try to update the mod to a different version, but:

• i tested with 3.10 and it crashed (expectedly). There is a lot of new code (for the x1mk3) and i am not sure how to incorporate it.
• it may take a lot of time and work and i am not sure i am willing to do it; certainly not in one go or quickly.

I should be able to adapt it to a pre-3.8 version. Tell me more about the 3.6.1+S4 crashes. Does this happen always, or sometimes? How does Traktor crash and when. We should be able to pinpoint a version sufficient for your needs, which doesn't crash and is able to produce the MIDIbeat signals.

Just the deck B which send anything at all 🤷🏻‍♂️

My crash with 3.6.1 and s4 mk3 is very simple :

When I plug it, traktor crash with no delay.
