I was recording with my Maschine a couple of days ago, hopped back on and then poof no Playhead, any ideas?
Probably it has something to do with audio settings. Check in preferences what is selected and try to make some changes.
Do you use an audio interface?
Edit: oh…I see now you are the same guy from the other thread. Now that you call it playhead and not “the line that follows the recording” I did understand you better 😂
I tried all available audio settings. None fixed my problem. It's recording what I'm playing just not repeating it when I play it back
Is the timeline even moving? When you push play, something is happening or you don’t have any reaction at all by Maschine?
The only time I saw Maschine “stuck” without the playhead moving when pushing play was because of audio settings. Which driver do you use? Asio? WASAPI?
The timeline is moving, Output is "unplugged headphones L and R" and "Speakers L and R", not working for other groups
Actually I think the playhead is moving it's just not playing anything
Ah…ok…so the thing is different…
Can I see some picture of the audio settings/routings (the ones in the preferences and the ones for the sound/group/master)?
Oh…also…specify if you are using an audio interface or computer internal
This is what I have
First thing I notice: driver: WASAPI (exclusive mode). Do you have any other program open using sound?
Try just to change the driver in Asio (or WASAPI shared mode)
nothing changed
Did you restart Maschine after changes?
And also…which choices you have under Device?
It does say "Error loading Project" when I click on Maschine 2, could that mean something?
IDK what's going on there but I see empty projects... In Ideas View, there is no place for a playhead to exist if there are no Patterns active, so add at least one while you're testing the audio out stuff.
the speakers L+R should be on channels 1 & 2(not 3/4) respectively also on maschine output 1 & 2
they are always considered your main outs.....
also understand that
maschine output 1L & maschine output 1R is equivalent to Ext 1
maschine output 2L & maschine output 2R is equivalent to Ext 2
maschine output 3L & maschine output 3R is equivalent to Ext 3 and so on
useful if you want to separately route groups or sounds to specific outputs(hardware normally speakers headphones etc, this is only possible if your hardware supports extra channels)
Y'all are lifesavers! it's working again, thank you so much!!
