Hi, I hace S8R2 , it works loading it vía logic drop menu plus instrument, but can`t load in KK, is any Way to delete it from mi KK label librarles?
You need to be using the Reaktor version now so contact support for a license for that, to which you will be entitled. The old R2 plugin will still load in Logic because the au is using Rosetta but it is not Apple Silicon native and no longer being updated so the VST3 won't load in Komplete Kontrol unless you are also running that with Rosetta 2 enabled.
You can delete the old NKS from the browser easily, just delete the plugins first, then right click one of the NKS presets for Super 8 and select 'Find in Finder' then delete all the NKS patches for Super 8 from the folder it opens and rescan the database.
Super 8 R2 was discontinued as a standalone synth and will never be updated to be M1 natively compatible. It is now back to being a Reaktor synth. I've added a Super 8 Reaktor version to your account, this way you can use Super 8 in Reaktor in ARM mode.
You can still use Super 8 as a standalone synth when in Rosetta mode. imho the best would be to keep only the Reaktor one, meaning uninstalling the standalone Super 8, rescan Komplete Kontrol and all should work fine.
@Emotionmelodiez The process is now automatic. Komplete 13 owners or Super 8 R2 get a Super 8 Reaktor license. On top of that it seems you also own K14 that also includes the Super 8 Reaktor ensemble. So that's not the issue here. You need to Install Super 8 1.0.0
Once installed you will need to open Reaktor 6, load Super 8 in it.
As @Monochrome said, FM8 is a standalone synth and is fully Silicon native compatible. Have you tried to open it in standalone?
Can I please also have this added to Reaktor? I released a song with this, using the Chorus Strings preset, and I want to work on a remastered version, but now I can't. I tried accessing it via Reaktor 6 (that comes with KK 14 Ultimate), but this preset isn't there. Thanks.
Hello,
Same request for me. I’m on mac m2 and i dont have the super 8 reaktor license, I only have the one in standalone.
(komplete 13 owner)
I contacted the support 2 weeks ago but didnt get any response…
@Mark Freedman As an owner of K14UCE you already own the Reaktor ensemble. You just need to install the Super 8 1.0.0 in Native Access. Unfortunately not all presets are common and you can't load presets from the standalone into the Reaktor ensemble.
@moulynette That's weird, the process is supposed to be automatic, I see that my colleagues added a Super 8 library anyway, I hope everything is functional now.
I own a M1 and a M2 Mac Studio. On M2 the Standalone Version shows a missing license. M1 works fine. Both in Rosetta Mode. What can I do? I have to finish the project on the M2.
@slenderflame Do you get a demo message? Then it's probably this issue: GUITAR RIG 5, KONTAKT and SUPER 8 R2 Open as Demo Versions on Apple Silicon / M-Systems
@Jeremy_NI Hi
I've recently moved from PC to Mac Book Pro M3. I have an issue lauching Super8. It does not appear as a standalone plugin. I can load it using reaktor6, and it plays… But then when I want to save my ableton session, it crashes and it even has made my ableton fil disappear!
Can you help me on how to use Super8 on Mac Book Pro M3 without any crash?
thanks
Super 8 standalone has been discontinued before getting native silicon support, it can only work when your DAW is in Rosetta mode. How to Open Your DAW Using Rosetta It's also not officially supported on the most recent Mac operating systems.
You should use the Reaktor version. Have you tried to open Super 8 in Reaktor in standalone? Does it work normally? Can you load it, close Reaktor?
