Traktor jumping to Track Collection Playlist randomly

Traktor for some reason now randomly keeps jumpting back to the Track Collection folder.

After troubleshooting I realized that this happens when either:

1) Time Machine Hard Drive is connected (mac)

2) I connected an external drive.

This is a new behaviour, never had this before.

Anyone had any idea what this could be?

I'm also seeing the same behaviour as @Ninesense on a Mac. Any further information on this one?

@Ninesense Did you ever get a resolution to this? I'm having exactly the same issue.

In fact has anyone else on this thread got to the bottom of this?

Mine got fixed but I don't know if it was with just updating Traktor.
I don't use Time Machine anymore so not sure if that played a part in it

I'm seeing the same issue and still using Time Machine, so this might be the problem.

Just updated to Traktor Pro 4 and am still having the issue in Track Collection when connected to Time Machine. @Kaiwan_NI were there any updates on this? Happy to provide additional details if needed.

I initially disconnected the network & the problem went away. I've since reconnected the network but disabled time machine and the issue remained stopped so it certainly seemed to be related.

I've just upgraded to TP4 but haven't re-enabled time machine yet, and so far so good. I'll try re-enabling it and see if I get the same symptoms again.

I did a TM backup tonight whilst using TP4 (over network) & I didn't get the issue. Admittedly I only played a few tracks so it wasn't a thorough test.

On TP3 it happened randomly, sometimes several times in a few minutes and then it would be fine for 20 or 30 mins before doing it again. It's a hard one to replicate for sure.

Thanks for the update, @Baz069. It's a similarly erratic issue for me as well.

Bit of a shot in the dark here: I wonder if it's related to Time Machine updating files within the folder in focus of the Traktor browser? Time Machine generally only updates files that have changed as far as I'm aware. I was editing file metadata (release dates) yesterday and was definitely getting the browser jumping more than usual.

    It certainly could be, @kodamapixel.

As an update - i've now had it happen on TP4 whereas i hadn't as of my previous comment, so can confirm the same as you've experienced.

As soon as it did it i pulled the network connection (therefore disconnecting from Time Machine) and it never happened again. I still need to narrow it down to whether it's being connected to the network that is the issue or if it's the TM backup doing it. I'm fairly sure it's the latter though as i did a gig recently & forgot to disconnect from the venue wifi and had zero issues, its only at home where the TM target is available over the network that i seem to get the problem.
