Why is my s49 not lighting up? only the blue lights over the keys are working. No other transport or any other buttons are working or lighting up.

Could be a low power issue with the USB port...how is it connected to the computer? (direct or through a Hub). Can you try another port? Did you purchase the optional Power supply?

Thanks for your reply....It's direct to my iMac. I don't have the power supply, but I never had problems before. The keys work and I receive midi into ableton, I just can't use transport or any other buttons.

Make sure to also check out if any permission was not automatically blocked by going into your Mac's System Preferences -> Security & Privacy.

If you go into Midi Mode does anything light up? And I assume you are using Logic?…did you do a Logic update!

I can’t help but notice the problem isn’t solved. Typical NI.

This is a user forum not official NI Support. Note the OP has not commented in 2 weeks to the status, so we do not know if it was solved or not... going to posts and trashing NI is not helpful at all...just sayin!!!

Care to elaborate so others in the same situation will be “In the Know”?

Cool, what about the folks who have been in “customer service” for weeks, months and even years?

I mean, you don’t think an NI user forum is the place to note how atrocious NI customer service is? This is a known phenomenon. One would think that the company would invest some of its resources in an appropriate level of support given the price of their products.

Is it against forum rules to criticize the company?
