Maschine MK3 performance on Mac

I never got it fully going with my MK3, but after getting a Komplete Kontrol MK3, I jumped at a used Maschine MK3. So far so good.

However I notice a huge difference in performance on my Intel Mac comparing to my old MK3. Basically every time I do a change on the screens (e.g. go to browse) everything stutters. I cannot do much multitasking on the device without stuttering. Such things never happened on my MK2 and Mac also doesn't show any sign to a struggle.

So I'm thinking this might be because of the built-in audio interface even though it its not in use. Does anyone have experience with such an issue?

I’m using a 2012 i7 MacBook Pro still, and Maschine mk3 runs very smoothly for me 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I don't think its a performanec issue as my 6-core 64GB ram Intel Mac Mini should be more than enough. And MK2 ran fluidly. Yet, somethings up which causes all the stutter.

No one? I can see in Activity monitor that Maschine MK3 uses more than 100% on a single core, yet there's plenty of headroom in other cores. And the exact same presets gives this peak on the MK3 which didn't happen with the MK2

What stutters? The audio or screen? Whats the buffer at?

It could be the built in audio interface. I used to run Maschine and MK3 on a realy old Intel Mini without issues for a very long time. But I had a NI Audio 6 interface as well.

I'm now in discussion with the support. Its the full computer, but if I unplug the USB or re-add my old MK2 it plays the exact same tracks without a problem. Its both screen and audio which stutters. The buffer has been tested from 128 to 1024, but nothing really changes. It seems theres perhaps an issue with the RME Babyface FS Pro, but I do wonder what would happen if I could disable the MK3 audio interface.
