Hi.

Is it possible to manipulate the pitch of a long one-shot sample via MIDI notes. That is, can I fire a one shot sample using one MIDI note and then manipulate the pitch as it runs via other MIDI notes.? I hope my question is understood.

The question is clear. What I don’t understand is why you tagged the thread with Kontakt, since you are talking about one-shot.

In any case, what you want to achieve is very easy with Komplete Kontrol: you can load your one shot there and then with the midi learn function learn one knob of your controller and then use it to change pitch

Or if you own Maschine, everything will already be assigned to change pitch

Certainly one or the other of us has misunderstood your question.

If you're trying to change the pitch of a one-shot by playing notes, using one of the time-machine modes in the Source Module and setting Legato might do what you want. (I've never tried it myself - you'd have to experiment). If not it could be done by scripting.

    ☺️

Now we just have to wait who understood it right.

After reading your answer and knowing he tagged the thread with Kontakt, my money is on you 😉

First of all, thank you for your responses. My original question was specifically asking if it possible in Kontakt.

Using the Time-machine could give me what I need.

Although the Kontrol solution looks interesting, I'll give it a try and see if it fits.

Thank you both for taking the time.. 😁
